Good food, kind staff, reasonable price. Don't miss their polenta!

We often dine in Folgaria (we own a small flat nearby) and this is one of our favourite places. We recommend goulash with polenta (a widely known kind of "bread", made with corn flour, hot and freshly-cooked): contrary to other nearby places, polenta is the real solid stuff (and not a kind of... read more

We had lasagna which was just many layers of pasta, burned steak, and vino della casa that tasted like vinegar /acid/. Sorry, the worst restaurant in Folgaria and maybe in whole Italy we experienced in 24years.

We spent three nights in Folgaria and ended up having 3 dinners around Christmas time in the Ristorante da Ugo. Tried first time on Dec. 23 and loving it. So reserved for the following two nights for Christmas. The foods were excellent and service was even better. We liked the family atmosphere, very cozy and welcomed. We always asked the... More

I have been on Sunday to take a walk in the mountains and reading previous comments I decided to book a table for lunch. I have been there with my wife and kids. A tall waitress took good care of us being polite and anticipating some needs that, dining with a eight years old, a family could have. Lot of... More

We enjoyed an excellent lunch in this little restaurant in the heart of Folgaria. The bar might have been quiet at the front, but the cosy restaurant at the back was packed with locals enjoying some of the best home-made pasta I have ever had. Do bring an empty belly, the portions are generous here to say the least -... More

We had lunch recently at Ugo during a one day visit in Folgaria. What can I say: a real discover! Affordable prices, real home made cooking ( and I mean REAL homemade tagliatelle pasta) and huge portions... We had a portion of tagliatelle with deer ragout and a "puntelle" (pork ribs) alla tretina with polenta in two....and we didn't manage... More

Nice authenting Italian restaurant in Folgaria. I took Bistecca (Steak) with lemon and mixed salad. Service was good and food was great.
