If this place was smaller and cozier, it would gain a better score from me. The local food we tried was very good and the thinly sliced mortadella appetizer was absolutely delicious. The wine menu was interesting and the service excellent. Only the size of the space, quite "urban" in such a small beautiful town, and the bright lights sometimes... More

This restaurant is just past the Duomo through the archway. It has an excellent menu where the dishes are served with the pan directly at the table. Great place to have a pasta lunch. They also sell produce - cheese, hams, salami, pasta etc.

We had lunch last weekend with some friends in this restaurant. The location is very convenient, being close to Ferrara castle and the main square. The restaurant is quite modern but the food is typical of a trattoria. We had a good antipasto made of local hams and cheese (try also the gnocco, very tasty!), followed by generous portions of... Popped in for lunch as a friend recommended the place. Lots of tables, well spaced out and very busy with the locals. Excellent choice of dishes. I had chicken with potatoes and it was very tasty, staff all very polite and spoke good English.

Coming to Ferrara for business the following day. We had a very tasty dinner starting with a lovely charcuterie plate and excellent local wine to go with it. And ending with a perfect creme brule (flan type). In between delicious home made pasta filled with pumpkin and together with a ragou. Highly recommended restaurant. And very friendly and service minded... More

Recommended by Euro at B&B Alchemia (see separate report), we went here for a traditional Ferrera lunch cooked in the copper pans. What seemed like ordinary food on the menu such as roast chicken and potatoes was far from ordinary. The chicken was slow cooked, stuffed and sliced before being served. Others in group had the porcini risotto, and then... More

This restaurant really has a new proposal, it has a wide variety of prosiuttos, you can ask for a table and they will bring in wood tray with at least 2 or 3 kinds of different prosciutto, with some cheese, and bread. or a tray of different cheeses . Is a very relax and local ambience. They have also for... More

Have been to this place many times during our stay in Ferrara. It didn't take long before we were being greeted by name as regulars - even friends! Of course this makes every visit there a very happy and enjoyable experience. The place has a much more modern feel than many others in Ferrara but it still features the typical... More

We moved to Ferrara 6 months ago and this is our favourite restaurant. The Maitr'd is excellent, the service superb and the food is wonderful traditional Italian cuisine. I have eaten 7 or 8 different dishes; all are very very good and the capellaci de zucca con ragu probably the best in Ferrara.
