Good territorial cuisine

Great location, just few meters far away from the Cathedral and the Castle. Accurate food, both territorial and from the region. Reasonable prices, considering that eating in Ferrara is a bit expensive in my opinion.

It was Monday and our favourite eating place was closed. Near the city centre, about 100 meters fro the cathedral, we spotted Cusina e Butega,. It was early for Italians to eat - only about 6.00 p.m,. We peered through the window. It was empty of clients, and looked very modern. Not our usual choice. However we were peckish and... More

We had two meals at this restaurant, both excellent. The service is quick and friendly and why waiters are able to give good advice as to dishes to order and wine of the region. Eating outside is better than being inside where it can be hot

We were visiting Ferrara from the U.K. to meet up with family living in italy for four days. This is a smashing restaurant in the heart off Ferrara. It was pouring with rain outside but there was a very warm welcome inside. What a super restaurant. Lovely bright interiors with a super chilled counter displaying their amazing selections of hams... Very central and bigger than it looks, quite a nice, modern interior Food is traditional but updated, well presented and tasty Good value, and a nice buzz about the place - service was good As per other reviews ferrara is not a place were English is widely spoken but we had no problems with some basic Italian and some basic... Went for dinner with several colleagues. They do their best to speak English. Staff are really friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very nice, enough space and a lot of choices. There is a counter with several hams, cheese and all Italian delicatessen. The food was excellent!

If this place was smaller and cozier, it would gain a better score from me. The local food we tried was very good and the thinly sliced mortadella appetizer was absolutely delicious. The wine menu was interesting and the service excellent. Only the size of the space, quite "urban" in such a small beautiful town, and the bright lights sometimes... More

This restaurant is just past the Duomo through the archway. It has an excellent menu where the dishes are served with the pan directly at the table. Great place to have a pasta lunch. They also sell produce - cheese, hams, salami, pasta etc.
