Real Ferrarese cuisine

This place was full at 9 pm. and most of the diners were locals. There's no outdoor seating but the restaurant is lovely and spacious. The tables have adequate space between them. The light level was a bit too bright; still it's better to have too much light than too little. They offer both meat... read more

Italians, living in London for almost 10 years so missing food and traditions, so for us Ca' d'Frara is a must! From pinzini to cappellacci everything is outstanding and service is always friendly and speedy, definitely our favourite Ferrara eatery! To try!

My wife and I really enjoyed our meals here - I had gnochetti with a pumpkin sauce, and my wife had cappellacci, the traditional pumpkin stuffed tortellini-like pasta in a sage and butter sauce. The cappellacci had to be repeated several times during the time we were there as Ferrara is not particularly vegetarian friendly, and this was by far... More

Ca'd'Frara ia a "hidden miracle". Discover it and you will enjoy typical local meals cooked the proper way. Prices are reasonable. You may also need to make a reservation because it's usually full.

Attentive service, delicious food (fresh pasta with pumpkin, sfogliati, mixed fried fish, scallops, chocolate mousse) prepared with fresh ingredients, all in a nice modern ambience. Decent house wine and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

Ferrara is one of our favorite cities in Itsly, and Ca' d'Feara is our favorite restaurant there. From the moment you enter and are greeted by Barbara, the service is exemplary. And the food! Why it doesn't have a Michelin star is beyond me. I can't recommend any one thing because everything is outstanding. We've been in Italy 12 weeks... More

It's down a lonely side street but it's worth searching out. The inside is attractively fitted out. Good selection of meat and fish on the menu. Following the recommendations of our B&B host I had my first cappellacci di zucca (pasta with pumpkin and Bolognese sauce) which was right up there with the best pasta ever. My wife had cold... If This place was not introduced by my coworker, I could have never found it. The food and the service are first class. Love their scallops. Must try their Panna Cotta.

This is a beautiful modern style restaurant run by a family. We went at 730 when they opened and it filled up in no time. Locals, tourists, couples, groups, young and old. The menu looked amazing so we were disappointed when they came to take our order and 2 things we wanted were not available. I strongly believe that this... More

Very good quality for the right price. Perfect and quick service. If you want to try traditional and local dishes this is a very good choice. We got the Cappellacci di zucca, the Pasticcio ferrarese, the Salama and a roasted pork. Desserts also good and extensive list of wines.
