Excellent

Not particularly cheap but good. An interesting menu, with novel ideas. Slightly too slow a service. Reasonable wine list. Well worth a visit.

We went to Mezzaluna on the advice of a native of Ferrara and were glad that we did. Attractive, modern surroundings, great wine, inventive menu and, more importantly, the food was both beautiful and delicious.. Worth a visit (or 2 or 3)!

We had dinner on two consecutive nights at Mezza Luna. All in all, we had a wonderful culinar experience. Interior design is so and so, but tables are far away from each other, so intimacy is ensured. Food was wonderful. We tried their seafood dishes. We had raw fish plate, a fantastic dish with tuna tartar, sea bass tartar, shrimps/scampi,... More

A nice restaurant with friendly people. A ample choice in the menu and we had not to wait very long between servings. The walls could use some paint here and there. A little bit pricey.

We went for the degustation menu "from the sea" and could not have been happier. So many delicious taste sensations and each one better than the last. Great value and friendly service - do not miss this gem xxx

I had a lamb dish with butternut squash that was the best lamb I have ever had in my life. Most of the food we had was high quality and very well done. The flavors were amazing. Service was very good to subpar, depending on who you get, and how busy they are. It took us a long time to... More

Mezzaluna is a wonderful restaurant with a modern Italian menu that delights the palate at every bite. We were presented with an Italian menu only which made the experience magical as our broken Italian was insufficient to allow for a complete translation. Consequently some of our choices were immediately understood such as the calamari (superbly cooked) and the Carbonara which... More

Recently spent a week in Ferrara and ate here twice. The food is what you might call modern Italian. Clearly Italian inspired but not traditional. Bottom line it was really excellent. The crispy egg with truffles was outstanding and a dessert of basil ice cream in a passion fruit "soup" was sublime. If you are in Ferrara, this is a... More
