Had lunch here one afternoon and tried the pasticcio alla ferrarese (macaroni pie that is a local specialty of Ferrara), made of a sweet dough, which was filled with macaroni, bechamel white sauce, meat sauce, and mushrooms. It was memorable and inexpensive - E15 with a half-carafe of very drinkable red table wine.

This restaurant was recommended to us and it was well worth the visit. The service is outstanding and the food delicious, particularly the local dishes - quite simply, nothing is too much trouble. Really excellent.

In April 2012 had a delicious lunch of pumpkin raviolis... all pasta hand made reasonable prices. good service, wonderful local wine selection of chiantis and valpolicellas. there were 10 of us who arrived a bit early for lunch and the owner beckoned us to come in... charming family owned restaurant, located central Ferrara.

I ate the typical "pasticio di macheroni", speciality from Ferrara. Good food, good wine. Quiet place. Warm welcomed. Enjoy !

Kinda expensive but at least you leave happy (well fed). We had a mix of everything. Fried zucchini flower is awesome. The pumpkin ravolli are fantastic. Mixed grill is also recommended. House proseco is maraviglosa! Very good meal.. Will be back!
