Our favorite gelato in all of Italy and we've been here a year! Always ask what's new or special, there are always surprises. Fresh, all natural, made the traditional way. No smurf ice cream here! They will give gelato making classes if you have a sizable group and a location.

I have lived for several years and tried most gelateria but Maki is my favorite. The quality of the ice cream, the flavors, the location and the staff are all top notch, an essential stop for anyone visiting Fano. Also the lady owner speaks lovely English.

This gelateria is slightly off the beaten track in Fano and it did take us a little while to find it, but it was definitely worth the search! Great flavours, excellent quality and a lovely premises on one of Fano's less touristy piazzas: perfect for a cooling granita after a long day at the beach.

I love love love Gelateria Maki it is a MUST stop every single time we are in Fano! Not only are the owners incredibly friendly and always with a smile, their gelato is out of this world amazing (trust me I consider it my job to sample gelato from all over Italy)! Having tried all the other ice cream shops in Fano I can now frankly say that this is the ONLY ice cream shop that uses 100 % natural ingredients. The ice cream is by itself so tasty that there is no need for any food additives such as E-numbers, fillers and artificial flavourings etc. I love how each flavour tastes... More

this is - in fact - the BEST gelato in Italy! Fabulous traditional flavors + imaginative, subtle new ones; all served with a warm hospitality befitting the cold deliciousness they create. Right near the center of Fano, which is itself a delightful discovery - but start and end your visit with a trip to Maki and then see if you... More

The friendly people that own Maki speak English very well and are always willing to help. We have been in the gelateria at least 20 times the last 4 years. The quality is always superb. Fresh ingridients, that taste of fruit...., marvalous flavors, that Bellini flavour this summer was brilliant! We hope we can enjoy those icecreams for many years... More

Gorgeous flavours: who could resist fresh figs, blackberries, cream & croccante, yogurth with honey and sesame seeds, real pistacchio, mascarpone and figs? But the best here is that the eggs are organic from a local producers, the honey comes from a friend producer, the pistachios are the REAL ones and that blackberries and figs are seasonal and come from their...
