Went twice as a large group. Lovely family, good Tuscan food and wine. Service can be somewhat scattered. Outdoor seating would be a huge plus.

We went to this restaurant for lunch with our friends our first day in Chiusi. Wow. My wife and I both got a cheese ravioli dish, with pecorino cheese in a cream sauce. The most delicious flavor combinations. Absolutely the best meal of our 10 day trip to Venice and Tuscany. The server was very attentive and helpful. Simply outstanding... More

Chuisi is a relaxed and easy going Etruscan hill town right smack on the border of Tuscany and Umbria. My family has visited the area a few times and during our last visit we discovered Ristorante Zaira. The menu was imaginative with fresh ingridents and great care taken with each course. Pasta, meats and side dishes were all delicious and... More

If you want to taste excellent fresh food, well prepared, genuine traditional dishes from Etruscan Tuscany, this restaurant is a safe address. Zaira's staff is polite, discrete and professional. Don't forget to ask them to visit the charming wines cellar.

This was a fantastic restaurant. I decided to not order the regular Italian food, but rather the baked potato. The potato came in slices with a fondue pot of melted cheese. For fun, order that and the "French fries" which are homemade potato chips and dip that into the cheese sauce too! My companions ordered the traditional Italian plates and... More

We spent our last night in Tuscany at Ristorante Zaira. They were able to accommodate my friends GF requirement. I ordered the roasted chicken and was served a whole flattened chicken! All of us enjoyed the house wine, the appetizers, salad and meal. When we were finished they invited us down to the wine cellar. Truly magical. Then when we... More

The restaurant's wine cellar is well worth a visit and an experience in itself. Starter and main course were very tasty. If we ever visit the region, so it will be sure to Dine in the restaurant.

My family, me and two other families went to this restaurant together. We shared entrees (which were a whole meal in themselves) and had our own mains. The entrees were incredible. We had a platter of different foods, including salami, prosciutto, salad, salmon, cheese, bread. It wasn't normal food that you would get, everything was filled with different flavours. My... More

Was picking up a friend at train station in Chiusi and wanted to stop in to get a bite to eat and went by Trip Advisors recommendation. I felt that the menu was to extensive and should have been a sign that it might be a little to touristy or trying to cater to too many people. The misto of... More

Like with many reviewers, we were recommended this restaurant by our hotel as a local venue with great food and given the seal of approval by the locals. Unfortunately it did not live up to expectations. We were greeted by a searly waitress who just seemed inconvenienced by our arrival. The atmosphere was quite stilted, perhaps due to the many...
