The typical Italian Trattoria old style. The food reflects the regional traditional cuisine. Minestrone and Farinata are for me the best and i strongly recommend you to try both. Do not forget the local white wine to complete your meal.

I had a lovely meal, at Luchin. The tables are wooden and there is a big fireplaces-oven where they cook the meat directly on it. The food is really delicious and home-made

This by far for those who like to taste the "locality" the service and food was exceptional. I can't understand the low rating. Be prepared to stand in line. Then go inside and watch the Chef with real ovens, create some brilliant food. Be patient this is a busy place. Which is a clue! It full of locals. Great atmosphere... More

We ate here twice on our 6 day visit to Chiavari. Loved the whole experience, the place is a local institution, good old fashioned cooking, not a large menu, the ravioli was delicious with a good house red. Very busy, people stand around waiting for a table, which says it all.

Luchin is not fancy, but a casual place to have a meal, like a local hangout from 100 years ago, which is what it is. We spent a week in Liguria, and then 3 days in Rome, and this was our most memorable meal. The place has old world charm, large wooden tables, fire pits for baking, locals chatting with... More

Luchin has been serving up traditional local cooking for over a hundred years. The setting is informal, the service likewise, and the food is terrific. I live nearby, and stop in for lunch or dinner every so often, when I'm in the mood for a no-nonsense meal. The farinata is legendary. The meats are local, and the fish is always... More

Authentic and friendly atmosphere. Print an interesting dish. The steak was excellent. Two types of pasta we took were very tasty. The dessert can be eaten on the beach. The waiter was friendly and patient despite not speaking a word of English.

Our friend Steve recommended we try Luchin. We ordered the farinata and the soup as suggested. We also tried the lasagna. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It's a very attractive restaurant with good local food and friendly service. Thanks, Steve!
