If you feel like trying truly ligurian food made by century old recipes, this is the place. You'll probably have to wait in line and you have to be openminded tastewise. We particularily love the fresh anchovies marinated in lemon juice, the cima alla genovese (stuffed veal breast), the bacchala fritta... we'll we've been here a lot, so we could... More

If you want to try authentic Ligurian food at reasonable prices and in a homely Italian atmosphere, then try this trattoria. All the typical dishes are on the menu such as pasta al pesto, farinata (their speciality), fried salt cod (baccalà) and marinated anchovies. We had to wait for a table (along with a few others) but the service was... More

I lunched here on a wet January day. The place was very busy and you had to queue to eat both inside or outside under the covered archways that are typical of the carruggi of Chiavari. Queuing is clearly a good sign as the food was very good and very reasonably priced. I had farinata (a Ligurian specialty) and roast... More

We have been dining at Vittorio's for many years and the same high standards are still operating - the twin brothers who own this family restaurant made us especially welcome as did the waiters we have seen on our previous visits - the food and wine were good as usual and we can recommend a visit with confidence - more... We had eaten at Luchin the night before, and the pool man, Andrew, at the Hotel Monte Rosa told us Vittorio was as good, but cheaper. This was the best advice I got during the two weeks in the area. Like Luchin, try the Ligurian cuisine, fried anchovies, pesto pasta (changes daily), farinata, etc. Didn't have to wait at Vittorio.... More

This is a great little restaurant that seems to be loves by the locals. We ate here on our last night and it was great food and wine at amazing prices. We started with anchovies with lemon and farinata to share. The taste of the anchovies was perfectly balanced with the lemon and the farinata was the best we had... More

You may experience an excellent trattoria food at 10 15 Euro including house wine. Try the Farinata always baked fresh. Try the Russian Salad, the stock fish...really great.

Da Vittorio dates back to 1925 and obviously they still cook like great grandmother - or was it dad? - did back then. This is honest italian food. Simple, local dishes packed with taste. The house wine is quite good, the prices very reasonable. Their fresh anchovies marinated in lemon juice are excellent! Please note: This place is not a... More
