Been there for dinner to celebrate my father's 60 birthday. The place is located in a characteristic narrow road of Cernobbio next to the lake. The environment isinformal, old-fashioned with typical red or green tiled cloths on tables, i.e. the ones that immediately come to every foreigner's mind when thinking about italian trattorias... The restaurant serves local food with a... More

I liked the informal setting, in the style of an osteria, a bit like in a pub. Lots of people, friendly staff. They could use at least one extra person serving. The "polenta coi funghi" was OK but I expected more, and better. Why not fresh polenta? Why so little of those excellent funghi? I'd give it another chance next... More

Buzzing atmosphere with a good mix of locals and tourists. A small range of dishes, simply cooked but great value. Good house wine and beers. Friendly, efficient staff. Unhurried. Would happily eat there every night!

This rates as one of the worst meals my husband and I have ever experienced. I had the starter of fried zucchini - which was batter with no zucchini!! My husband had the marinated river fish which was equally as poor. There are some nice places to eat in Cernobbio and this should be ranked last and most definitely avoided!!

Pietro's from Lake a Como cycling recommended this reasonably priced restaurant while we were staying in Cernobbio. Our two families loved it! It is a gem of a restaurant. It is authentically Italian and the service and food were fantastic. It is located "downtown" in one of the alleyways so you might have problems finding it. If you do, you... More

Stumbled across this bustling hidden gem. Great food, great service. Really enjoyed the experience, doesn't need to be outside, great atmosphere. Full of locals which is always a good sign

Pleasant atmosphere bar / restaurant (in two separate rooms). Food is good, not expensive and fine for an informal meal.

We'd booked The Grill restaurant at Villa D'Este but we just didn't fancy what was on the menu so we just walked into the village to see what we could find. Well, there was certainly a lot of happy, local noise coming from this osteria so we got a table in the alley and waited on the menu. It was... More

I read few comments for this restaurant and frankly speaking I just cannot understand. It is cheap and for Cernobbio that is quite a treat, it is close to the municipal park. It is remote from the crowd and we enjoyed a very nice drink/dinner at this restaurant. You go there for the beers, make sure you try all the... More
