View to die for!

I would have gone to this restaurant even if the food were execrable simply for the view (from the tables along the railing by the rocky edge), which is to die for!! This unpretentious restaurant is near the lighthouse in Cefalu`. We had lunch there and sat outside along the rail of the patio overlooking the turquoise sea. Friends of ours had been there for dinner and recommended it. I had a pistacchio encrusted swordfish steak that was done to perfection and tossed salad. My friend ordered a mixed seafood platter (antipasti)... More

Take that extra stroll up the hill overlooking Cefalu, it's totally worth it. You get away from the tourist charm of the shops and waterfront restaurants to a sea overlook that is undisturbed by tourists. We had the freshest and best seafood of our entire trip here., The sea urchin pasta and grilled fish were to die for. Even the... More

Spent two weeks in cefalu and ordinarily would try a new place every night but came back here four times as the service and food was far superior to others recommended and with good tripadvisor reviews. Simple menu based on quality and not trying to be impressive. All about good seasonal ingredients just what I expect in Italian cuisine. Also... More

By far my favorite place to stop for a glass of wine and snack. Mimmo was always there right away, and was a wonderful host. Of the four days in Cefalu, we went there every afternoon. I think it is the place I will remember most about my stay. Wonderful.

you cannot get much better view of the sea looking back towards Cefalu, right under the Rocca. We had a simple meal with the Sicilian signature dishes: the bucatini with ascighe and wild fennels was the best we had on this trip and the caponata was delicious. The service was prompt and very professional. On first of April, it was... More

We tried to avoid touristy restaurants in town and wanted some purely cooked Sicilian food so we went to Al Faro. Not once but twice. It is off the coast and needed a 10 minutes walk. It provides many outside seats on opposite of the restaurant, leaving quiet romantic atmosphere which we loved so much. I ordered seafood dishes which... More

We make it a point to visit Al Faro several times every time we visit Cefalu. As most tables are outside just feet from the sea, the atmosphere couldn't be better. Mimmo, one of the waiters, has always had menu's available within seconds, but never rushes his customers. It's hard to recommend any particular item on the menu because everything... More

An easy walk out of the centre - and easily accessible by car (unlike many of the restaurants in the old town). The waiters are great, as is the food - especially the fish and the squid carpaccios and all the fresh seafood. This is the one restaurant where we tried the tiramisu and we weren't disappointed - homemade and... More

What more can you ask? We ate lunch here several times during our week's stay in Cefalu and each meal was better than the last. The two waiters were fantastic and worked so hard but on every occasion were extremely informative and friendly. Considering they are outside the main area of restaurants they were always full and deservedly so. We... More
