Located on one of those tiny alley-type streets perpendicular to the main street and the street near the water, this restaurant offers the quintessential Italian al fresco dining experience. Inside is bustling and noisy, but out in the tiny street, you can have an intimate conversation, interrupted occasionally by a car or moped going by your table. We didn't mind... More

Momma, Papa, two sons and one daughter all combine to make this a successful dining experience -- on non-descript street but worth the search. Good food and wine and friendly service equal nice evening.

La Botte was one of our pricier meals in Cefalu but well worth it since we got an expertly grilled and breaded swordfish and lovely appetizers. The happy chef even posed for a photo (see here) at the end of the night.

We were referred here by a local shop owner who said it was the best around and it did not disappoint. The fish dishes were excellent, particularly the grilled sea bass secondi and the cod fish/leak/potato appetiser. After fending off the multiple offers of local Sicilian wine, we ended up with a brilliant bottle of french Pinot noir from la... More

It is well known that Cefalu doesn't have a great reputation for its restaurants, but we found La Botte friendly and we had a good meal - not outstanding but certainly our best in this town.

We arrived at La Botte to find every outside table had a reserved ticket on it, when we enquired the waiter asked I presume the owner if there was a table he looked at us and said we could have the end table and he took the reserved ticket off.We then watched as this happened all evening , couples came... we managed to get a table at La Botte after trying a couple of other places which were fully booked. It was one of three recommended and we were glad in the end that we had failed at the other 2 places. The food was excellent and there was a good choice - mostly seafood. The seafood cous cous and... This restaurant was recommended by a cousin-in-law originally from Cefalu. It is on a side-street off Corso Ruggero. The food is fresh, excellent, and well-prepared. If you go, plan on making reservations. They can be quite full even during the week.
