Lovely setting, average food.

We stumbled on the restaurant and we're drawn in by the lovely setting but the food wasn't underwhelming. I had the special pasta, the house special but wasn't very impressed. Partner has the pork chop, which she said was ok. Maybe we just chose wrong but nice staff.

My two daughters and I were walking around Cefalu when we stumbled upon this place off one of the more travelled streets. The food was great. We had antipasti, pastas, and wine. We were served well and welcomed. We recommend this restaurant without reservation when we went -- lunch in November. Excellent find for us.

Good was ok but simple. The waiter seemed annoyed that we weren't ordering expensive enough meals. That was all fine until he added (and refused to remove) a 25% service charge on the bill. Spend your liras elsewhere

The service was good the house wine excellent but i never expected in Italy to have canned oilives and canned mushrooms on my pizza especially when olives and mushrooms were in season. A very disappointing food experience. Obviously the restaurant was geared for tourists and not counting on repeat business.

sat inside squashed up against the service area/kitchens with staff pushing past us. Staff were indifferent/rude. Food was basic. my partner ordered a lasagne and it was 1 sheet of pasta with watery bolognese over. I ordered the mushroom risotto which was not cooked properly, watery and had tinned slimy mushrooms in it. Pizzas were ok. The house red tasted... More

We first visited Al Vicoletto in 2012 for a pizza pranzo and found it again on this visit. After a long train ride from Napoli, this was an oasis for a late lunch. My partner had a margherita pizza generously covered with fine tomato sauce and creamy cheese. Wood-fired, of course, light and chewy as the crust should be. I... More

We had passed this restaurant before and decided to give it a try as it is one of the few in Cefalu where you can eat on the street and not find traffic trying to squeeze past every few seconds. The drawback, however, is that all the tables are on a slant to match the camber of the steps. They... More

We arrived for dinner at a time when the restaurant was about half full and the wait staff seemed very harried. We were ignored for several minutes, but eventually got a table. The indifferent seeming waitress brought our menus and left. We sat for half an hour being ignored while more and more people came in and were seated. The... More

Al Vicoletto is just the kind of place you always hope to find on holiday. The situation is unforgettable, just a minute away from the west front of the cathedral, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the food & wine are excellent. Long may they thrive and prosper!
