charming osteria, excellent food

This is a MUST if you are touring the countryside! We were staying locally and had a delightful extended luncheon here for a table of eight! After a big morning of ‘rubber-necking’ & being ‘culture-vultures’, this was a perfect stop for the day. Overlooking the vineyards… sitting outside relaxing… scoffing Chianti & yummy Italian food – it does not get... More

We ate at this restaurant last night and the food was great. The reason for our average rating is that there really was no atmosphere at all and while the service was prompt, it seemed a chore for the waiter. We had previously driven past on a Sunday afternoon/evening and the place was buzzing.....possibly a better lunch weekend venue. Overall... More

This restaurant is quite isolated and yet it was full when we went there but not with the hamburger crowds. It does not serve the simple, standard pasta dishes quickly prepared. Its varied menu is quite sophisticated and of the highest quality. My wife had a delicious rack of lamb prepared with blackberry sauce. Our Chianti wine was superb. Service... More

Relieved to discover a different menu, we both had 3 courses, entree was very nice the Porchini mushroom crostini was very nice, mains, the rabbit leg was exceptional. The deep fried mix of meat and vegies was very tasty. The semifredo for desert was the best ever we wanted to have a second helping. Cost was reasonable.

For a very acceptable price we spend a nice evening. We took the prosecco at the terrance and then took a table inside. Service is very friendly and the restaurant gives a pleasant atmosfere. There is a special touch for every dish.

I have been coming to this restaurant for nearly 24 years during which time it has changed hands a couple of times but I have never yet had a disappointing meal. We ate here twice just over a week ago with a party of eight friends and we were well looked after, although I wish the owner would smile a... More

We are here a few times on this trip, and each visit was a real joy. Fabulous location, great views and really good service. The menu offers a real taste of the area with authentic Tuscan dishes matched with great local wine. The house Chianti is great, and good value - produced as it is by a little old lady... More

seeing the restaurant by driving by, we were attracted by the location and set up. But the whole experience was average at best. For a change in Chianti they offered seafood on the menu. We gave it a shot but the taste of it was not great.....so avoid the seafood!!!!! I ordered a meat dish as a main and received... More
