As our visit to Al Filo was rather improvised, we shoved up on a Saturday evening, without a reservation. Fortunately they were able to find us a table, although we were given a time limit of 2½ hour before we would have to leave. This was plenty of time for us, so no problem. All the dishes we tasted, all... More

Fantastic atmosphere, and very good food. I have known this place for a long time, when it still was called Il Taula' and I guess if the chef is the same because the food is excellent as ever.

This place is in the cellar of an old building that once kept animals in the winter. The atmosphere is old world with stone arches and high ceilings. They have a wonderful wine list to complement the food. I recommend making a reservation few day before you want to dine here.

Nice location and atmosphere, to be sure, but only average food at best. Kind of bland, we thought. Not especially imaginative we didn't think. Overall, we were a bit let down.

We had the menu with local food and none of the four courses tasted well at all. It seemed like the chef had a very bad day, and the staff tried to compensate for it. The pasta was grey and tasteless, the meat was so dry you could use it a weapon, and the appetizer was just boring. Overrated here... More

A great wine list and lovely traditional food. The pancetta is to die for. You will love it on the first, second and third visit. My only niggle is that a restaurant who aspires, as this clearly does, should change the menu every no and then (the menu is the same as when I last visited 12 years ago).

The best restaurant in the area. Very comfortable, located in a few hundreds year old basement with old fashion design gives you very pleasant atmosphere. The chef is great specialist, having Michelin stars, cooking masterpieces. Really the prices are very competitive, there are 4 or 5 restaurants with the same price range but this one got the best value. The... More
