+ always good food: pasta with frutti di mare - delicious + home made traditional desserts: tiramisu and panna cotta. + Louis is a real personage and owner of the restorant

Enjoyed the bread and oil before lunch and both our pasta dishes were excellent - washed down with a glass of dry white wine and followed by good quality coffee.

This was a repeat visit, after last year's lovely evening at Luigi's, and we were not disappointed! For my birthday last year Luigi had given me a nice bottle of red wine of which I had taken a picture once back home. I showed it to him this time, and man, he remembered where we sat, ONE YEAR AGO! Mind,... More

Every year we go to Bordighera and every year we eat at Chez Louis. We always like it there. You get personal attention and the food is very good and often surprising. The waiters are very kind. The owner recognises us always and that also helps!

Frankly, we were on our way to sample another highly rated restaurant in town on a Friday afternoon. We had passed by the restaurant and saw the hours posted on the door. After a stroll and a coffee, we presented ourselves at the establishment shortly after its opening time. The door was open, but it was not set up to... More

We drove for forty five minutes to get to the small but gorgeous Mediterranean town of Bordighera to eat at Chez Louis and it was well worth it. The food is fresh and nicely prepared in an understated Italian fashion. The owner himself is very charming the way only Italians can still get away with being. Go on a thursday... More

We spent a few nights in Bordighera the end of September, and for my birthday we had chosen Chez Louis because it had the nicest setting, with table cloth, nice interior and a nice terrasse along the Corso Italia. When in Italy one has to have pizza, and it was one of the best ones! We had a couple of... More

As we sat down we were given tatty english translations of the menu. This restaurant is getting tired. The pasta and clams were good but I wish I could forget the seafood salad. You can eat much better for the same or even lower price in Bordighera. The service was half hearted and distracted.

We ate here 2 years ago and had forgotten how good it is! The service is unbeatable, the staff so friendly and the food.... Go for the homemade pasta in rocket and tomato sauce. We even requested brochetta and were not charged for this! They definitely know how to win back customers - we shall return!
