We were lost. A young man started waving to us. Without sharing a common language we worked out that he worked at Nunzia and he was there to help!! No menu. The lovely hostess sat with us and told us about today's menu. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was some of the best we have experienced in 4 weeks... More

Benevento seemed almost asleep but inside Nunzia was life and cheer and excellent food. There was no printed menu, only the day's menu on a board outside. It was just as well there was a courteous young man on hand to translate when the matriarch of the establishment sat down and told us what she had on today. Heartedly recommend... More

Had heard about this restaurant from friends and was also recommended by our hotel. We visited it on the first night of our stay and never went anywhere else. Everything about it is a joy, from the food to the service and our chats with the most accommodating staff. Look no further if you happen to be in Benevento

We just stayed overnight in Benevento and went to the Ristorante Nunzia on the recommendation of the receptionist at the hotel we stayed in. It was the best meal we had in a two month tour of central and southern Italy. Wonderful food and wine and fantastic service. Antonio was extremely helpful especially as we do not speak Italian.

We had dinner here on our first night in Italy after 24 hours of flying from Australia and 3 hours of driving to Benevento from Rome. We wanted a simple meal fearing that we may have trouble staying awake to enjoy it. It lived up to our expectations. Nunzia told us what was available and her son Antonio translated it... More

I travel a lot for work, mostly alone, and there is nothing so heartwarming at the end of a hard day as a welcoming hug and a meal like your mother used to cook. This is Nunzia. Simple, good food served with a kind word and a smile. Try the scarpariello, the home made pasta with tomatoes and cheese or... More

If you are looking for food prepared with passion, love, respect and care along with a welcoming family environment, Nunzia is the place. I ate there all 3 nights I was in Benevento. Pasta is freshly cooked with wonderfully inventive sauces and cheeses. The main courses were wonderful. Try BaBa for desert.

If you're in benevento, a visit to this restaurant is a must. The food is incredible. Simple but with big flavours. Señora nunzia sits down with you to explain the menu (helpfully translated her son!) The first course is pasta - a wonderful selection - i had the pasta of the house, my husband had pasta with monkfish. Both wonderful.... More

Thanks to Trip Advisor, we found this great restaurant. We would reinforce many of the other positive reviews. The food was fresh and bursting with flavor, the service very friendly and the place stuffed full with locals. We tried the scapariello (shoe makers) pasta, the grilled red spicy sausage and stuffed cuttlefish with potatoes (which won the vote). All washed... More

This resturant has excellent food but more importantly dining here is a wonderful experience. The staff, especially Nunzia and her son, are so charming. There is no written menu. Instead, Nunzia recites the choices while her son translates. She literally ticks the items off on her fingers and tells you each and every ingredient. She has a sparkle in her... More
