Food consistently excellent and varied - service great

We stayed at Hotel Caesius for 7 nights and had evening meal 5 times in hotel. The food is very varied with good meat, fish and vegetarian options. Food is very well presented and the appetiser, starters and main courses combined with salad bar and desserts meant that everyone was well fed. The... read more

You could help yourself to the salad buffet, then have the chef's taster, then choose a starter and main course and if you have enough room, fruit, cheese and biscuits or a dessert. The menu was well thought through and healthy and well proprtioned. Cannot fault it

I spent 4 days in this hotel. The restaurant is very nice..The decorations in the breakfast room and in the dinner room are very beautiful. Also in the balcony-the candles, lights, decorations are amazing.I think these was Filippo's ideas because around the Lago di Garda I never saw a restaurant like this.Filippo is the best restaurant manager! Thank you for this amazing 4 days!

We spent 7 nights on Lake Garda. Normally we rarely eat in the hotel we stay but this is the one exception. In fact we eat here three times. We tried local restaurants and none of them came close to Ristorante Benacus. Their 23 Euro 5 course meal changed every day. It was more varied, better quality and cheaper than... More

The quality, choice and service were flawless. The choice of food at breakfast suited all tastes, while having breakfast on the trerrace was a great way to start the day. The dinning experiece in the evening was first rate, from the moment we entered the dinning room and were greeted by the restaurant manager and his staff to the quality... More

Thid restaurant was in our hotel. Easy to get to! 5 courses €23 pp + water&wine. Salad starter, breads and oils, cheese & ham puff, green vege lasagne (lovely), mixed meat grill with peppers and potatoes and then a lovely dessert buffet. Booked for 2030. Last ones left at end of night which was a bit awkward as it was... More

The week before we travelled to Italy I sent 2 emails to the hotel to book a table for dinner, no response. I then telephoned and spoke to a very pleasant young lady who appologised, took some details and said "I will confirm by email", no email. When we were in Bardolino we called in to check the table had... More

For non-Italians a 5 course meal is too much. After the pasta dish, the 3rd course, we were full and not able to eat much more. We didn't always know what kind of meat we were eating from the chef's appetiser, alot of smoked meats which isn't to our taste but perhaps other people would love it.

Dear guest, thanks for your review, but honestly we do not understand what you did not like .. Maybe we had to give you less than the 5 courses included for all our guests in half board? All the courses offered to our guests are marked on our menu, and we do not understand why you are not able to... More

Best bits-food is beautifully presented, well cooked and al fresco dining was magical. Staff polite, attentive and smiled. As non residents of the hotel (Hotel Caesius Thermae SPA Via Peschiera 3 | Lago di Garda Verona, 37011 Bardolino, Italy) we were greeted by the charismatic restaurant manager and shown around the hotel. He was interested in how we had found... More
