Description: The Loggia Rambaldi, a 16th-century building by the school of the architect Giulio Romano, looks onto the harbour of Bardolino right where the lake, coming further inland after the Belvedere bay, opens up to become a welcoming amphitheatre. It was built towards the end of the 1500s by the Marquis Girolamo Rambaldi, who conceived it as a belvedere on the lake facing his stately home in Bardolino. The Loggia has survived the centuries and is witness to an ambitious project that was later modified. Fortunately, neither the erosion of the elements nor that resulting from changing customs have interfered with its architectural worth, and it stands today as one of Bardolino’s most precious buildings. The outcome is a setting that is both simple and harmonious, where historical charm merges with the warmth and attention generated by individuals who have chosen professional catering not only because it is a long family tradition, but above all because they are passionate about their work. The dining room is divided lengthwise into three ‘naves’ by columns that also support the beautiful vaulted ceiling and it features a large fireplace that gives warmth and additional atmosphere. It is without doubt a splendid setting for any occasion.

Located right on the shores of the lake as you come into the main part of Bardolino this is a lovely restaurant. The service by Massimo and his team is top notch and we ate there on a number of occassions during our trip and always had a delicious meal. Great for either lunch or dinner. The grilled lamb chops... More

Yesterday evening we enjoyed a fantastic Chateaubriand at La Loggia Rambaldi! We can recommend it to everyone. Beautiful restaurant and Massimo and his team are simply very nice people. If you will visit Lago di Garda you definetly should visit La Loggia Rambaldi in Bardolino!

Once we had eaten at this restaurant we didn't go anywhere else the food was delicious, especially the pasta dishes. Can recommend the ricotta and spinach ravioli and the lasagne they were amazing, my husband recommends the pork chop, very tasty and tender. The service varied but did seem to improve once they realised you were a repeat customer. Overall... More

Chose this restaurant based on TA reviews but unfortunately it wasn't as good as we were expecting. We were given a table right at the back of the outside area even though there were tables nearer the front. The service was ok if some what impersonal. The food average. It is the first time I have been served a sirloin... More

Bardolino, it's a beautiful town on the edge of Lake Garda. This restaurant is in wonderful position overlooking the lake and we had lunch there which was good value. The quality of the food pretty good but the service needs to be improved.

We visited this restaurant with a group of friends. The quality of the food was good and an average price for Bardolino. We felt the service could have been better. Our waiter went very swiftly through our order and then the main courses for some people were brought before the starter plates had been cleared. Although the speed of the... More

Overlooking Lake Garda and fairly busy, this could be a tourist trap and, happily, it is not. The menu is interesting and has a wide choice, the food is absolutely delicious, the service is totally correct. We did not think it was expensive for what you get. The local wine (rose and red) is, alone, worth the visit. The building... More
