Ice cream stop - OK

We stopped for coffee and ice cream. It is in a good situation where you can watch the world go by and look at the interesting buildings round the square. Service was quite friendly but very slow. We waited ages to order, there seemed to only be one waitress on duty. We ordered strawberries and... read more

Visited once - and never again!!! Extremely long wait with just 1 other occupied!!, took a ham crepe that was full of sugar - and the waitress didn't even apologize...she was extremely defensive and unfriendly!! Watch out: the prices displayed pratically double if it is not for take-out (e.g. tiny sandwich for 2.50 ended up being 4!!!! Euros!). The photos... More

Charged 5 Euro for a toasted sandwich made with cardboard bread and plastic cheese, which was disgusting! Please choose somewhere else to eat. Served frozen pizza's as well. Worst food I've eaten in Italy.

You have seen Piero della Francesca's frescoes in the Basilica of San Francesco, you have visited the stupendous Romanesque church of Santa Maria, you have wandered into the magnificent Piazza Grande, the central square of the city and now you feel like a rest. No place is better than the café at the top of the square, Café Vasari. The... More

The situation of the Caffe is really great and the price level lets hope a nice luxury break in the visit. Unfortunately, service is courtuous but without a smile. Food is sold very expensive for a poor quality and quantity... and the best, whatever the price, only cash is accepted (let's bet to avoid "tax pressure"). I would strongly advise... More

Bad house wine. Have to order an apperitivi. And the music is elevator-esque. Quite a shame for such a beautiful location. At least it had shade and was open during the strange afternoon hours.

Visited here recently and sat outside and had drinks. The waiters were very friendly and polite. It was a perfect and ideal spot to sit in and take in the stunning views of the beautiful square with its lovely buildings. Would definitely recommend taking a break here.

My wife and I spent several mornings here, drinking coffee and fooling with our I-Pad. The people were nice, the coffee was good, the internet connection was fine and we overlooked the Piazza Grande--how could we not like it.

We had misjudged our travel time and arrived here pretty late. But it was too early for lunch, so we decided to stop here for a bathroom break and late snack. This place is pretty awful, from the food to the bathroom. I ordered a pidiani which was a prosciutto and mozzarella crepe. It came out lukewarm with the cheese... More
