The restaurant was founded in 2002 in the city center and in a short time become one of the reference points for quality cuisine of Albenga, then in March 2013 the dream set me up for a new adventure turns into reality with the new location on the beach in the most suggestive of the coast. Babette serves traditional seafood cooked with Mediterranean flair and imagination by the owner Fabio Bonavia and its young and close-knit staff. The menus change every season drawing ingredients from the gardens Ingauni and the Ligurian Sea! A special proposal is reserved to noon with a dedicated menu with tasty dishes offered at affordable price! Bread, pasta and desserts are all homemade Extensive wine cellar with a selection of French wines and sweet wines by the glass

Very good!

We had a dinner at Ristorante Babette in May this year. We ordered starters and main course. The food was delicious especially the starters! Before the dinner the chief came up to us and translated all the menu which was in Italian and explained what every dish from the menu was made of. Wow... read more

Fantastic location by the seaside but the service was neither happy nor helpful. Unfortunately the food was a big disappointment. Except for a delicious grilled squid it was overcooked, bland and in general prepared without the high standard and care we expect from the Italian cuisine.

We have just come from the Ristorante Babette which I situated right at the albenga beach with a wonderful view over the sea. The service was really perfect! We were the first at the restaurant and we got translated all the menu by one of the personlell from the kitchen (maybe he was the chief, I don't know). The starter... More

We loved the old Babette, on a central street in Albenga. It was elegant and had almost a French sensibility with regard to decoration, presentation and intimate service. But the store front location on a busy street afforded no parking and some people are not completely comfortable in that neighborhood at night. Now you can find Fabio Bonavia at a... More

A lovely setting on the seafront,we chose the tasting menu of 4 courses with coffee and little pastries. Could not fault anything.....portions were generous without being overwhelming. The chef introduced himself at beginning of meal:he was charming as were all The staff.I would certainly recommend this restaurant for an excellent evening.

We decided to stop for lunch on our way from Genoa to Monaco and picked up the Michelin red guide for Italy to look for somewhere suitable. We identified Albenga as a possibility and like the look of the listing for Babette, so we booked a table and found it just outside the old medieval heart of the town. It... More

Not more than three dozen people can be seated at the nine tables in this charming store front restaurant in the center of Albenga. The lemon yellow dining room is beautifully decorated with many nice touches; lovely colorful curtains depicting drapery tassels in cheery orange, blue, yellow and green; a few bouquets of flowers; crisp white linens, formal silver and...
