We did a day trip to Alba from Serralunga; we a wanted to visit the old town and experience one of the towns many fine restaurants. However, as we suspected, like other places, many businesses were closed for holidays, restaurants included. So after walking around for a while we settled on Aldente Trattoria, manly because it seemed a little off... More

Just in the center of Alba you find this lovely restaurant, facing a little square with an open air archaeological site and a Church. This is just behind the Street where you find any kind of shops. Next to it there is also a car park (you pay ca. € 1 per hour) Sits are inside and outside under big... More

My wife found this little gem whilst we were wandering around Alba and it turned out to be a lovely find. The owner was just so hospitable even though we arrived just after 1.30pm, it was no trouble and everything was still available. We both had the seafood degustation menu which was absolutely lovely, we loved the starter of filleted... More

We were drawn in by the busy looking interior and candle lit tables but we had a very bad experience here. My husbands cauliflower tart starter was nice but it was all down hill from there. I had ordered chicken with peppers and it was beyond bland, boney and quite disgusting really. I would have left the lot if my... More

This restaurant had the chameleon quality of feeling casual by day and romantic by night. We had our first taste of Alba's white truffles at lunch here our first day in town, and though they added a cost of 48€ to the meal, it was worth it and more. We started with ravioli that were tortellini-sized and tajarin, the Piemontese... More

This restaurant is situated so that you can dine inside or outside (a half a block away). We chose to eat inside at a candle light table which was quieter. Good selection of Italian food and wine. We had wild boar, veal, salad, a good bottle of Barbera d'Alba and espresso for 61 euros.

Beautiful restaurant interior and the option to sit outside at a candle lit table. Staff friendly and efficient. Emiliano one of the owners is a lovely helpful man who will assist you with meal and wine choices. Food is generous and yummy, try the seafood cone .

Went to alba in early July thinking back to when we were hear in the fall a couple of years ago for the truffle festival. Needless to say the town was nearly empty vs the fall. Tried to go to tripadvisor number one duomo piazza (or something like that) and it was closed for a private party and happily ended... More
