Michelin Stars by Osmosis

The restaurant is the sister location for a three Michelin star restaurant just upstairs, but based on my experience the food could qualify. We were in town for the truffle festival and several items on the menu came with the option to sprinkle some on, which you pay for by the gram. We had the... read more

Yes we were here in the middle of truffle season and it was incredibly busy, however when a waitress-in-training pours half the bottle of prosecco over one of the guests, one should at least be offered a new bottle of prosecco and the cost of dry cleaning! The food is good although the menu is incredibly limited if you are... More

Happened on this place on Christmas Eve in Alba. Happy to find a place open for dinner and even happier because his place was terrific. Had veal crudo, agnolotti, and ravioli with butter and ricotta. Delicious. So was baked pear w fior di latte geleto for dessert. Wines were outstanding.

Went there our last night in Piedmont, recommended by the hotel where we were staying. This was our only unpleasant meal experience during this trip: while the restaurant has a very fine location on the main plaza and a good wine selection, the food was average (the tagliolini al Ragu were just pasta Bolognese, as the waitress readily admitted, and... Good traditonal food, great wines, friendly staff. The acustic of the place makes it very noisy when it's full, like when we were there, so we had to shout as loudly as in a night club to be heard just across the table. Can be tireing throughout a whole meal.

I really wanted to love this place, but I'm afraid it needs to love itself before anyone else will. I read the reviews beforehand. Make of that what you will. I agree with many of the comments both negative and otherwise. We booked 40 minutes in advance, on a rainy Wednesday evening and they rang back to confirm. On arrival... More

Excellent restaurant on one of the main squares and on the floor below the best restaurant in the area with which it is associated. Superb agnolotti, firstly with a fondue centre, which I hadn't ordered and then with a wild boar ragout, which I did order. Both were superb. A bit noisy for my liking with a lot of hard... More

We had reserved this restaurant for Saturday evening. We were shown into the greenhouse rather than the restaurant - overlooking the piazza. Good you may say, on a normal night perhaps. Not when they have karaoke night in the piazza... Plus the typed menu had little choice. If you didn't like veal then tough... Despite there being a very large... More

The food was very good quality with moderate prices. The outside dining area was enclosed with visibility onto the main square. Nice, quiet setting with good service.

Looked interesting from the outside with a large (enclosed) seating area on the square. Even if it was late and they were busy they still found us a table. Good friendly service (in English) and food and wine at a high standard. Maybe a bit expensive but for something special I thought it worth it.
