Excellent Option in Alba, Piemont, Italy

This restaurant belongs to the Chef Bruno that is known as one of the best in Alba. I've been there several times and each one is better than the other. The servisse is very nice and the food is traditional Italian cuisine, very well prepared by the Chef. The restaurant is in the heart of Alba and... read more

We came here advised by our hotel. Very nice and small place, the food is superb. We took antipasti, first and second all shared in two. Tuna carpaccio to start, spagetti with meat sauce for first and meat with foie gras for main were superb! The price wad about 100 euro(one antipasti, one first and one main course, bottle of... We specifically went to Alba when we were driving from Lago di Como to Portofino, just to visit Dulcis Vitis. At first, we were disappointed as the place seemed it was closed, the doors were shut and there was no one around. When we actually walked to the front, there was a sign which read ¨Sempre Apperto¨ (always open), so... More

Bruno is a great chef and his restaurant is a gold gem in Alba. Great sommelier and service. Don't forget to make a reservation.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel, so we had no preconceptions. We have now been twice because it was such a great place to try the Alba White Truffle-great quality truffle, generous servings of it and top quality food to accompany it. Bruno and his staff are wonderful. This place is a real gem.

Visited 10 years ago, and couldn't wait to repeat the experience, and were not disappointed. We dined with friends who are annual visitors, but Bruno made everyone feel special. He made special egg and white truffle appetizers for all, altering the menu to accommodate our request for a traditional local dish. His wine suggestions were superb, and the bread made... More

The night we dined at Dulcis Vitis seating was in the courtyard, not indoors. We were greeted and served by Bruno who possesses a delightfully wry sense of humor. He brought a plate of bread out that he explained was baked on premises. We tried not to eat it all because we didn't want to fill up before our meal... More

Charming small restaurant chef/owner Bruno is charming and helpful. No need to read menu, just chat with him about what you like and he will make suggestions. We were there on a Tuesday night and he had plenty of time to help us. Everything tasted great. It was black truffle season and I had homemade pasta with truffles and a... More

We were welcomed into the elegant dining room by a warm and burly man who turned out to be the chef, Bruno Cingolani. The dining room has white linens, lots of silverware, candles and live orchids for extra panache. After ordering our meal, we were served an interesting amuse bouche of baccala (salt cod), little globs mixed with potato and... More

The restaurant had great reviews in a travel guide we bought, but was really disappointing in terms of atmosphere, service and food quality. VERY traditional dishes mediocre at best
