Description: A quiet atmosphere and family welcome. In 2000, Gabriella Burlotto had Cà del Re, the house in which the castle land agent used to live, converted into an agriturismo, or holiday farm. Situated in the centre of the village of Verduno, a stone's throw from the castle and its splendid belvedere over the Langhe hills, it looks onto a quiet, pretty garden. In the five spacious double rooms on the first floor, our guests can savour once more the hospitality of old Langhe farmhouses. For the more indipendend-minded, two apartments are available: one at Cà del Re, the other in the Cascina Vitalot in Barbaresco, where our wine cellar is situated. Cà del re offers a simple, friendly family atmosphere in which traditional local dishes, made with carefully selected ingredients by the daughter Giovanna Bianco, are served accompanied by the wines produced by company.

This small family run establishment offers the best of all possible worlds. The food is authentic and home made Piemontese cuisine and focused on top quality raw ingredients. The dining room is small but provides a great ambiance no matter what the occasion, I have had the opportunity to dine their on may occasions and have used it just as... More

We just returned from 10 days in Italy. I planned as many meals as possible from the Slow Food Book (now an app on smart phones!), Osteria d'Italia 2014. This was one restaurant listed in La Morra (although technically in Verduno). We arrived for lunch on a Saturday (we had made a reservation), and sat outside in their beautiful courtyard... More

Ca del Re is the agriturismo, but the establishment should be better known as Castello di Verduno, one of the castles once owned and frequented by the royalty of Savoy, apparently as a summer palace. The focus of agriculture was on wine and even King Carlo in the 19th C took a major interest in viticulture here. We booked this... More

We were recommended this family-run restaurant by a local foodie and arrived in Verduno on Saturday morning just in time to book the last table for the evening. Weather permitting (but it was too cool that evening) you can eat in the pretty garden. The food was excellent and the service very friendly. Portions are ample, so much so that... More

The restaurant "Ca del Re" is for sure one of our favorite places in the Langhe area. We come here to eat since many years and were always pleased by the friendly service and the excellent fresh food which is above level of many other agrituismi. Inside, the atmosphere is cosy with an open fire on cold days and on... More

We have had dinner at Ca del Re many times and stayed over night as well. The accommodation in good quality rooms and the restaurant with the charming little garden make the place a very good entity. This is for people who appreciate seasonal food, properly and respectfully prepared. The place is peaceful, but situated where local people live and... More
