Lovely old fashioned Italian restaurant with a friendly ambiance. We tried the mixed fish Antipasto, tasty and interesting to the taste buds. The main fish dishes and the pesto were excellent. Enjoyable meal.

Typical Ligure home made meals, with an international and modern touch! Fantastic atmosphere, very good place in general.

Very good cuisine, from Ligurian tradition: "pasta al pesto", fish, metà, very fresh salades. Yet the staff is rather unpolite, hurried: it doesn't seem able to make you feel at home.

Trattoria I Matetti is the place to go if you are in Alassio and want to meet Italians and not only the tourists at sea side. I agree with the previous reviews: the atmosphere is neither charming nor elegant: rustic is a better definition. And so the owners attitude. They are gruff. You may even think they are rude, but it’s their way to be “funny”; just throw a joke and you see them smiling under their tough mask. And wait for their pun. The food... More
