Such a shame as we really liked the hotel but the food was beyond bad, my entree of pasta and fish meatballs consisted of one dry fish ball and some dried up sticky pasta, the waiter did not ask if I had enjoyed it when he removed my virtually untouched plate as he is probably by now afraid of the... It saddens me to write this because this restaurant is attached to such a wonderful hotel which we loved. Unlike every other aspect of the place though, the food did not live up to its five star status. As a dining experience it has a lot in its favour. The view, overlooking the temple of Concord is spectacular and mesmerising.... More

Untasty!!! We ate there only once despite of we live there. Swordfish was dry and i couldn't feel its taste because it was a lot of peanuts in dish. And it costs 20€. Domestic wine costs 7€ per glass...and it is nero d'avola from nearest supermarket, which costs 4€ per bottle.

Fine concept with a exelent view at the Temple Valley. We visited the restaurant three nights. The first night we choosed the tasting menu with different local specialities. The personal were very observant. Reservation is recomended.

Lovely fresh food. Beautiful views. The seafood and salads are excellent. Bread with olive oil is a must.

great if can have diner with a view on the temple on the outside terrace but if none because weather not permitting you will have to dine in the inside restaurant with a 180° view on the parking lot ;-( what a pity not to have outside heaters...

If you really want to have an amazing experience, tour the Agrigento ruins late in the day and then come to this beautiful restaurant which stands in the shadow of the Temple of Concordia. As you dine on the outdoor terrace, you can watch how the light changes on the temple which is eventually floodlit. We had the tasting menu which... More

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Athena and ate at the restaurant three times. The service was very good - the waiters were helpful with their advice and the food was varied and good.

My idea of heaven is a cool clear day walking among 2500 year old Greek temples, a well-appointed room with a huge balcony and view of the temples and then an elegant, quiet dinner after drinks in a fragrant garden... Well, that was our experience at the Villa Athena. The restaurant, Il Granaio di Ibla, was a delight- fresh fish... More
