Walked to Charlestown while staying at Carlyon Bay Caravan Site only 20 minutes walk. Had tried to find somewhere with outside seating, but as a busy and hot day could only get seating inside the Harbourside. Initially a little disappointed as when asking if one of the items was "gluten free", we were told they did not know. Choosing a... More

You can eat in the bistro or outside in the garden or in the restaurant, either way the food is bloody great! in the restaurant the food was delicious and the portions large! Service friendly and fast, the bistro was just the same, big tasty portions, stayed in Charlestown for 3 days and ate there everyday.

Food is very good offering a substantial variety of dishes throughout the day. The Inn also offers a live band every Saturday night; perhaps not ideal for the peace-seekers, but great fun and a good way to end the day.

Nice bar when quiet, but unfortunately I was there when they had a large 'hen' party. At this point it was not a good place to be with that feeling of 'trouble in the air' Luckily had a eaten by then, and average rump steak, which was jut OK. Entertainment was average, with the band arriving and setting up and... More

We decided the next door hotel - which does have the better view if you sit outside - was a little pricey and formal, so came here after a long walk for mid-afternoon refreshments. I discovered later that it is owned by the same company. The beer was excellent, the service impeccable, the toilets spotless and the food really nice.... More
