Beautiful lakeside restaurant with bilingual staff (English & French). We produce fresh, homemade and original food in a relaxed and informal setting. All of our clients agree that we are worth the drive off the beaten track for lunch or an evening meal to remember! Close to Mont St Michel and the American cemetery at St James.

Great food .

We love going to this restaurant the food is always great . The service is cheerful and you never have to wait long even when it's very busy .Please book first as its very unfair to give bad reviews because you turn up unexpected ,they may not have the staff to cater for you . Good food and excellent value in a beautiful location. Although the restaurant is run by a British couple, the French love it. The menu is varied, food beautifully presented and delicious. Great value.

Recently stayed nearby and visited the restaurant three times. Each time we had wonderful tasty food and exceptional service. The owners Marcus and Amanda could not have been more friendly and helpful. The food was the best we have tasted in France for a long time and we have been going there for 14 years. Be sure to book to... More

The food is amazing, everything is homemade with a small menu with fresh food and British flavour. I am French and I can tell I would never imagine that such a great restaurant would be owned by British people!! The waitress are nice and efficient, I would recommend to book a table i advance though because it gets quickly crowded.

Excellent food in a lovely setting. I would suggest that it is essential to book a table on those nights that there is live music. The owners are charming as are the serving staff. we look forward to visiting the restaurant again in the near future but this time for a nice lunch. Be sure to visit the restaurant's website... Good food imaginatively cooked. The English proprietors of this charmingly set restaurant will efficiently serve you with a reasonably priced meal of high quality. We know French neighbour of theirs who ran the best restaurant in St. James and they give it the thumbs up!

Arrived at this restaurant on Friday lunchtime not having a reservation. It was understaffed as they only had one booking for lunch that day but ended up with a full restaurant. It was explained to us that service would be a bit slow but we didn't mind as we were quite happy to relax and enjoy our meal which was... More

We could not return to France and not visit this restaurant. We went twice for Sunday Lunch which was excellent offering a three course set menu at 19.90. I had the chicken breast which was so moist and tender followed by a fruit crumble. We went on the Thursday night as it was one of our friends birthdays. they had... More

Our dinner was on a quiet Friday night and we had a table for four at the window. I started off with a fabulous French Martini with raspberry. My hubby and I shared the tapas starter for two which turned out to be big enough for 4 and super tasty - beautifully presented - the sausages were still on fire... More

Having visited our friends again, we had a really nice meal, and unfortunately hadn't left room for dessert. I had the Jerk Belly Pork, which was really nice. I mentioned I like spicy food and it didn't disappoint, although I suspect still nowhere near the original Jamaican inferno. However, it illustrated to me yet again the determination, of Marcus, and... More
