An english run restaurant, with a blend of english/ french cuisine. Good to see a mixture of english and french customers. Great food at a reasonable price.

We stopped here for lunch and had an absolutely delicious meal outside under the veranda. We were really looked after too and would definitely recommend it!

We had a lovely meal at the Auberge du Lac. They made a great job of squeezing us in at short notice (I assume that it was the owner Amanda who managed that for us). The tapas starter was delicious for sharing and all of us enjoyed our main courses too; the cider liquor that my moules were cooked in... More

We had a weary traveller amongst us craving plain oil' fish and chips and we actually found better than that here! Reasonably priced, delicious food, and very good dishes well prepared, fed a hungry party. The restaurant has a patio/picnic area, interior airy dining areas too, all very nice, open, airy, clean and pretty! Good wines, ciders and drink selection,... More

Great little place with attentive staff and great choice of food. Believe it or not three of our party settled for fish and chips. These were excellent as was the fourth fish dish. Good wines too, with thoughtful choices.

We visited two years ago, when staying with friends, so one of our "must dos" on this visit was to return to Auberge. I had the fish cake starter, which was incredibly light, yet still very tasty. Then I followed that with the homemade beef burger, which was as good as I've tasted. TRUST me, find this restaurant and enjoy... More

Thank you Amanda and the team for a wonderful evening on wednesday. The resturant was heaving, but the staff all found time to offer an exemplary service. The extensive menu was well apreciated especially by the vegetarian member of our group, a rare treat to have a veggie choice whilst eating out in France !!! Well done all, we shall... More

Just had a lovely meal in this restaurant. Great food, great service, great atmosphere and reasonably priced. Worked out about 20 pounds each with drinks. I had a perfectly cooked steak and a starter for that, around 3 pints of kronenberg and wine as well. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant!

Been meaning to visit this place for ages, and when we heard that since it's been taken over it's really good, and as it was my birthday, we decided to go there for lunch. Had a nice table overlooking the lake, and the English lady serving (assume she's the co-owner) was very friendly. We had the three-course lunch for 15... More

We have visited this restaurant many times and can thoroughly recommend it both for lunch and dinner. Although a bit off the beaten track it is well worth searching out and has a lovely view over the lake. The restaurant has been refurbished and is very attractive and relaxing. At lunch time you are offered a choice of menus which... More
