Beautiful lakeside restaurant with bilingual staff (English & French). We produce fresh, homemade and original food in a relaxed and informal setting. All of our clients agree that we are worth the drive off the beaten track for lunch or an evening meal to remember! Close to Mont St Michel and the American cemetery at St James.

Lovely Restaurant in a Lovely Setting - Recommended

Excellent food in a lovely setting. I would suggest that it is essential to book a table on those nights that there is live music. The owners are charming as are the serving staff. we look forward to visiting the restaurant again in the near future but this time for a nice lunch. Be sure to visit... read more

Good food imaginatively cooked. The English proprietors of this charmingly set restaurant will efficiently serve you with a reasonably priced meal of high quality. We know French neighbour of theirs who ran the best restaurant in St. James and they give it the thumbs up!

Arrived at this restaurant on Friday lunchtime not having a reservation. It was understaffed as they only had one booking for lunch that day but ended up with a full restaurant. It was explained to us that service would be a bit slow but we didn't mind as we were quite happy to relax and enjoy our meal which was... More

We could not return to France and not visit this restaurant. We went twice for Sunday Lunch which was excellent offering a three course set menu at 19.90. I had the chicken breast which was so moist and tender followed by a fruit crumble. We went on the Thursday night as it was one of our friends birthdays. they had... More

Our dinner was on a quiet Friday night and we had a table for four at the window. I started off with a fabulous French Martini with raspberry. My hubby and I shared the tapas starter for two which turned out to be big enough for 4 and super tasty - beautifully presented - the sausages were still on fire... More

Having visited our friends again, we had a really nice meal, and unfortunately hadn't left room for dessert. I had the Jerk Belly Pork, which was really nice. I mentioned I like spicy food and it didn't disappoint, although I suspect still nowhere near the original Jamaican inferno. However, it illustrated to me yet again the determination, of Marcus, and... More

A fabulous setting right on the lac at Vezins. The food is excellent and there is something for everyone whatever your nationality, the owners are English but speak excellent french. This is a favourite with the French where they can try English desserts, sticky toffee pudding being a favourite. Beautiful decor and lovely outside space to eat in the sunshine... More

I was working nearby when I heard there was a great pub ran by English people. I didn't have any expectations when I went but what I found was great! The waitstaff is lovely, the food is INCREDIBLE, and the atmosphere is serene. I recommend this place without a shadow of a doubt.

An unexpected find tucked away in the middle of nowhere! We would not have found this unless recommended by our B&B owner nearby. On the side of the lake, lovely food, very reasonable prices, great service from the English owner.

A lovely place to eat. We were made very welcome even though we were a party of 6 adults and 3 babies under 1 year old! Food was delicious and varied. Something for everyone! Definitely recommended.
