First time I've visited this restaurant and although the food was lovely, I don't think I've ever had a three course meal and left feeling hungry. Hence the reason for three stars. Would I visit again, definitely not unless they actually feed you. Very expensive for what you actually receive.

Third visit to the Bay Horse, but first review. Saturday night dinner for two - easy reservation via their website and I called the day before to ask that we could keep the table all night - greeted with a 'no problem'. We arrived a little early, but seated at our table straight away. This is a small restaurant and... More

Great food. All the dishes we had were complex combinations each morsel bursting with flavour. Staff all relaxed and friendly. They even admired our ambition at each finishing off a complete desert taster plate. Well, we needed to do the chef skills justice and try everything!

Always been my favourite restaurant. A bit surprised I had to ask for water, usually water was placed on table, minor detail. Main issue I had was foie gras on menu. Won't be returning till removed.

Went for Sunday lunch, arrived early so had a drink in the lovely beer garden out the back which is a great little suntrap. Stayed outside for so long we were a bit late for our table time but this wasn't a problem. Once seated delicious tray of bread brought out apricot and walnut was a particular fave. Ordered lunch skipped... More

I went with a friend for Sunday lunch today and it was delicious! She and I have very similar tastes in food and so we usually end up with the same choice of meal.... today was no exception! Our starter was a risotto of salmon, peas and a prawn ball. The portion looked rather small but, in fact, it was... More
