We called on a busy Sunday evening, the staff greeted us and were able to seat us very quickly. The staff were attentive from start to finish. I suspect it was the owner/manager who came round all the tables to check if everything was ok. The food was great, plenty of it and reasonably priced. I can see why it... More

Nevins is the ideal spot for hungry cyclists. I have stopped here many times on the road to Mulranny and the bar food is superb. Nevins is a landmark on the otherwise empty road between Newport and Mulranny. The menu is standard Irish pub grub with a great seafood presence given the Atlantic coast closeby. 10/10 every time and the... More

Stayed here in B&B above restaurant in recent trip with kids to do the Greenway cycle. The rooms were spotless, very comfortable and with plenty of room for myself and 3 kids. What made this a trip to remember was the staff, in particular the owner John, Niamh and all the very friendly staff who could not do enough for... More

If Westport "closes" and Achill "closes" NEVIN'S is approximately 14 mile/22Km from each. A warm and friendly restaurant and bar. Plenty of parking even for the big campers. Sit outside and look NW to Achill. A table awaits all guests in the restaurant. The young staff are welcoming and professional ( spot the twins). I never go to Westport or... More

We were on our way to Achill Island to enjoy history, scenery and a good time when on the way the four of us felt peckish and stopped in Nevin's. With no advance booking we were seated immediately. The service was terrific, the food was great and the welcome was genuine. Even the owner was nice. There was plenty of... More

After spending the day exploring Achill Island we happened upon this wonderful pub. We were so warmly greeted and seated in a broad luxurious leather booth. My husband ordered the daily special which was stuffed pork roast with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes, I, desperately craving a good ole' hamburger, ordered the Irish steak burger on homemade bap (a bun).... While taking a break in beautiful Mulranny with family and freinds we visited Nevins restaurant. We were all amazed at the great service and expression of welcome shown to us and the wonderful food on offer, we were spoilt for choice, and to our amazement a great gluten free selection as well. Best I've seen on offer. John and his... More
