Had multiple visits here over our time in Marahau. Fantastic burgers, good coffee, delicious brownies and muffins. Selection of decadent treats like cookie ice cream sandwiches, mini donuts, pineapple rings. Prices seemed reasonable for the burgers which were huge and not your everyday burger. Only downside, would have loved a beer.

No wonder this place is so busy. The burgers are exceptional. We did have quite a wait so I would recommend you take drinks with you and soak up the interesting people that come and go. They also offered a very good vegan burger and would highly recommend you visit here if you want a casual cheap delicious meal.

To quote Samuel Jackson, "This IS a tasty burger!". I had the beef burger with chips. My partner had the fish burger. Our coffees were very good too. I think there is something to be said for devoting yourself to a specific concept and doing it very well. Well done!

Visited this week with 4 others after they gave it rave review having been in the past. We were warned on arrival that the food would be 45 minutes - too long to wait really when the menu only consists of burgers, fish and chips - granted the burgers are different but come on - really?? We waited (quietly impatient)... More

The Fat Tui serves up freaking amazing burgers. We had the lamb & the fish burgers and both were beyond good. The prices are great for such huge, delicious burgers made with high-quality fresh ingredients. We'll be sure to visit again next time we're up this way.

This place does the best burgers. Quite a lengthy wait but worth it. The fish and batter were luscious, the bun was tasty and the fillings (pickles, salad/slaw) were gorgeous. Packed to the gunwales with great-tasting awesomeness. Definitely recommend you eat here given the chance. Knocks Ferg in QT into a cocked hat.

At the end of a long hot summers day enjoying sun, sea and sand, head for the Fat Tui at the end of the road to Marehau. Extra popular due to the gourmet burgers so you may have a bit if a wait, but the team is slick and the food heads out like a well oiled machine even when... More

I've eaten at The Fat Tui many times since 2009 and can't get over the food - awesome fish and chips and the burgers are out of this world! It's basically a shack with outside seating and has a real hippy vibe going on which adds to the atmosphere. We enjoyed the Off the Hook (fish burger) Ewe Beaut (lamb... More

my uncle had heard from a recent trip to Antarctica that he must try a FAT TUI burger! This advise came From a German man that happened to be travelling New Zealand a few months ago! So since living in the area ourselves, we had to see if it lived up to all the hype! ......and I can now say!... More
