Great for take aways too

We had fish & chips which we took back to our lodge to eat, really nice and the service was excellent. I wish I had tried one of the burgers, maybe next time!

Good burgers, fish and chips, and ice cream, enjoyed on long wooden benches next to the caravan your food is prepared in. The start (or end) of the Abel Tasman Coast Path is 200m down the road. All good.

We are visitors from Minnesota USA (not friends). We asked locals for eating recommendations after Abel Tasman and they all said Fat Tui for burgers. We were not disappointed, in fact were amazed at quality -- and all the toppings even on the basic burger. (We like all the veggies on our burgers....others may not.) I liked the beef burger... The Fat Tui was recommended by a local friend & dang! - was she right about their burgers! Well thought-out combinations of patties & fresh, varied produce..(the 'Ewe Beauty' was up there with the best lamb burgers I've ever had) generous portioning, a relaxed area for scoffing and service with a grin. A kiwi eatery to be proud of. Well... More

We don't give five stars too readily for take out food, but the fish and chips were to die for. Really. We had had a long day on the trail and were too weary to cook in, so brought this back to our rented cabin, made a salad, and bit into the fish. Amazing, considering it was now fifteen minutes... After a tiring day of hiking through Abel Tasman Marine Park, we went to Fat Tui. Well, I was really hungry and dying to eat. I chose one of their beef burgers (the more expensive ones). It had a very foul taste and I could not have more than a couple of bites. My friend had a lamb burger which... More

This burger joint was highly recommended and compared to Fergburger in Queenstown. This place paled by comparison! Ho-hum large banned burger, a few nice garnishes such as finely grated carrots and a seedy mustard but, otherwise dull. Staff was disengaged, preferred chatting among themselves than being gracious. Tables were grubby.

This place is at the head of the Abel Tasman park main trail. It is super popular with everyone coming off the trail in a hungry state of mind. It's a food truck with outdoor picnic tables and huge lines - so be patient because it's worth the wait.
