Cody's has two locations in the Villages, this Lakeshore drive location, and one just off SR 44, in the new Brownwood Town square, which is actually in Wildwood, FL. We have eaten at both, numerous times, and have never had a bad visit. The have early bird menu from 4-6, and twofer Happy Hour from 4-7. I had the large... More

The place is on the lake in lake Sumter landing. It is incredabely loud and noisy it is one of those peanut restaurants that is focused on the bar and karokie crowd.

My husband and I decided to come here after going to the movies and enjoying the Colonial days event. Our waitress was very friendly and we quickly ordered. We ordered only water to drink and after we received the meal, our waitress realized we hadn't received our drinks. My husband ordered the Haddock dinner, fried. He was so looking froward... More

Decided to give Codys another chance at the new location in brownwood. Boy what a let down. You heard the saying of where's the beef this one is where's the fish. 5 of us in the group ordered the fish and no one had anything nice to say about the dinner except where is the fish. Breading was thick and... More

Cody's is a chain restaurant with a rustic theme, free in-shell peanuts, a good bar and a large menu. The food is good! It is a little better than average but not good enough for a "very good" rating, particularly by comparison to a number of excellent dining options in The Villages. I've never had a particularly good or bad... More

my wife took me here this evening as a 50th birthday treat. NEVER AGAIN. We were suprised that it wasnt as busy as on our previous visits, & now know why....... Our server, Joyce should have been in a care home, she was completely & utterly useless. Messed up our drinks order & was far too busy talking to get... More

The service was excellent. We were put at a broken table which was brought to a manager's attention and he just didn't care. We were not offered another table. We both had steak. My first piece was full of fat and grissle after that. My husband's first piece was good and then grissle after that. No one has an option... More

We had a horrible dining experience where are food was not cooked to order and encountered confrontational staff and manager telling us we were wrong. Feedback was given in detail to the experience on their website, and no response has been received. This shows a lack of customer service not having the courtesy to even address/follow up on the issue.... More

Cody's is good. The decor is rustic, but carefully done. Good for smiles! A bucket of peanuts is on the table, and a judicious number of peanut shells on the floor for ambiance. There is variety on the menu, and I've never had a poor meal. Although there are steaks and ribs aplenty, I usually get a mushroom-swiss burger. Yumm... More

Had the fried haddock and it was delicious. I would not recommend the onion rings however. Took my left overs home and they were better the next day.
