What an experience, friendly and attentive staff, excellent choice of menu, meals delivered piping hot, plentiful and attractively presented. I have eaten there 4 times in the last two weeks and without exception the food, wine and hospitality was first class. The seafood pancake is a masterpiece, I cannot think of anywhere I have dined that has given me so... More

We frequently visit the Cricket Inn when we are in South Devon but this is the first time this year. It is a friendly pub and always quite busy, even early in the season and despite the fact that it is a long drive down narrow, lanes. At least going back in the dark you can see headlights from along... More

Liked that a quick email in the week and they were able to get some lobster in for my wife birthday - nothing was too much hassle.

We attended here the weekend just gone. My parents generally take us here when visiting them in Devon, even though it's a bit of a drive from where they live it's worth the journey. I have only ever been here for dinner so I could not comment on lunch but you can imagine following a walk on the beach, the... More

We had lunch here to celebrate my mum's birthday and it was lovely. There is a good range of dishes including a lot of fish, all beautifully presented and very tasty. The waiting staff were very friendly and welcoming. The pub is much nicer inside than the exterior might suggest, in a pretty little hamlet of old fishermen's cottages overlooking the... More

Beesands is a unique small fishing village built along the beach, prtoected by a massive seawall. The Inn has been here for over 150 years, and it is now a very good restaurant serving attractive food at reasonable prices. We had the seafood pancake and it was delicious. Very busy at lunhtime even though it was mid November. Staff were... More
