Didn't like this place at all. The food was 'ok' but expensive. The staff were lovely but the manageress was very rude indeed. no recommendation form me.

Four adults and three children had a meal here, I have dropped two stars as the sausage served to my child in her hot dog was a horrible cheap frankfurter. When I complained, the waiting staff indicated that yes they were cheap as it was just for the kids! The staff were very apologetic and said it had been the... More

I have been waiting for the 'HOT DOG LADY' to write a review I understand from the staff that it was if we had served something unfit for human consumption, the word HOT DOG Oxford dictionary 'A Frankfurter, especially one served in a long soft roll and topped with various condiments' Can I say that it was my choice to... We stayed in the Oval room and enjoyed fabulous view out of the bay window. The room was really comfortable, very clean and had lots of nice touches including mineral water and copious tea/coffee and biscuits. The digital shower was amazing! Breakfast good and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you all for a lovely stay, we look... More

The service is friendly and fast; there's a lot of hustle and bustle. It's not the restaurant in which to have an intimate dinner, but it's perfect for a "home" style dinner.

Returned from walk thinking of a cream tea but was told that's only served in the afternoon but was served welcome tea and coffee. As it was 6.30 by then thought we would stay for dinner. Menu was 70% fish which looked very interesting. We opted for starters of squid, smoked salmon, fish cakes and scallops; these were excellent, the... More

We ended up here after a short coming at another local establishment and enjoyed a decent lunch. There were lots of gluten free options which are vital for two members of the party. Service was perhaps a little slow but we weren't in any great rush. Service was good. We had finished out meal so it wasn't a major problem... More

Thank you so much for your review, not sure why there was a need to hoover especially while you were still sat, it may of been that the last party in that area had made a mess but I will try and find out. More

Had read about the Cricket Inn in the Good Pub Guide so thought we would give it a go as we were looking for somewhere a bit different to our usual haunts in Dartmouth. It was mid afternoon and the pub was pretty much empty inside but the tables outside were almost full as it was quite a nice day.... More

Many thanks for you review the crab sandwich is £11.00 still expensive I agree but as explained on the menu you get a full 1/4 pound of hand picked on the premises white crab meat not cheap blown factory meat or we could put 2oz of meat and make the cost £7.00 but I would like to think you get... A one night break to visit hallsands. On a recommendation we booked the cricket inn. 1st class accommodation and food. The breakfast was a mini buffet of quality food. The only fault would be the lack of comfy seating in the bar area for drinking. 9.9 out of 10

We stayed at the Cricket this last weekend. Beesands is beautiful rain or shine, we were lucky to have great weather, so that made our holiday. We had dinner at The Cricket, with our friends who live locally, on Monday night, I didn't fancy the vegetarian dish of the day, so two of us veggie's asked whether the chef would... More
