Four of us went to The Goldcroft last night - we had heard and had read some bad reviews but speak as you find - we could not fault our meal at all - it was tasty, hot, good portions and so reasonably priced. Accept the Goldcroft for what it is - back to being a good village pub with... More

I went earlyish on a warm Tuesday night with a friend who had eaten there some time ago,and said it was very good. When I looked at the sad offerings on the menu I thought she must have lost her marbles.! It would make Weatherspoons look look like gourmet eating, nothing of anything different. We both opted for the steak,... More

I shan't visit this place again. Went with a group of friends and was really disappointed! Drinks - need to up there game everything we wanted they either ran out of or didn't have it. Had 1 glass of Shiraz went for another but no they'd ran out. Despite the big sign behind the bar advertising Pimms they didn't have... More

I went to this pub today and its the first time since it has changed management. It is now back to a good ole pub with good ole grub and they even have a pool table....result!! I went with an open mind about the food as the last meal I had in there before it changed hands was over priced... More

This was my 6/7 visit, very surprised to see pool table had replaced the seating in the front area, I had booked a table so was very surprised to be told that the chef would be in in 15 minutes, menu was just ordinary pub meals, food arrived with gaps In between so we had to start eating before all the... The newly arrived crop have taken this place down a few notches...gone are the relaxed, comfy chairs and seats to be replaced by a pool table. This theme is ten a penny in Zooport! This beggars belief. I will not be crossing the threshold of this dive in the near future. What a pity.

Lovely venue, food nicely cooked but poor selection of veg, no boiled or new potatoes- just roasted. Veg was mixed root veg and peas. Needed broccoli, cauli or cabbage. Desert selection very poor only choice of 2. Do not take cards only cash! Would not go back

My family and I visited the goldcroft for Sunday lunch. Even though we booked a table for 8 people over a week before, they didn't have a table ready for us and the waitress had to check if they could fit in a table of 8, even though there was no one else eating in there. There was no menu... More

Been to this venue three times in the last month and I never really leave a review but this place needs a good honest review. The food (2 Sunday lunches and one steak) was top notch. The staff cant do enough for you and the atmosphere was lovely. Nice touch to have a pianist when eating your Sunday lunch. Thumbs... More

Under new management - and what a disaster. Staff who really couldn't care less. We seemed to be an inconvenience to them when we went in for Sunday lunch. They were more interested in eating their own lunch than serving us. No appreciation of customer service, in fact no idea at all! I would strongly advise avoiding altogether. There are... More
