This has been taken over by a new family who are very welcoming and keep a high quality place. They do a decent Sunday Lunch and it's a beautiful location.

Been four times (not by choice) and it has got worse and worse on each occasion. The first time, two of us went for lunch to try the place out. Nicely done out and the food was ok to mediocre but a little overpriced for what it actually was. It was a nearly empty restaurant so we thought we'd give... More

Our third visit to the Goldcroft in a month! This place is a real gem. We ended up dining al fresco as the sunshine was such a tonic! Good-quality food, cooked to a high standard. Service is always very good too. Oh, and the toilets are fresh and clean, unlike the 'filled entrance rat.' Well done, chaps!

Four of us decided to treat ourselves to a meal at Goldcroft one dark dreary January night, only to be disappointed by average but expensive food. The bored looking waitress did not know the soup of the day , she did not know if the venison was on or not . I asked to have my coat hung up ,it... More

Likes: since it was opened a couple of years ago it has been a great addition to Caerleon. Staff are very good (some of the best around thinking about it) Food is the sort of place you would go for a nice meal on a night out with the family but also has a nice bar for a beer if... More

A group of friends and I called in for drinks on a Sunday, we were lively but polite, we spent quite a few pounds. The landlady (or she was possibly a server) approached us shaking her head and looking disdainful. A friend bought a drink and it was wrestled off her, we were stared at and made to feel very... A very fine example of good food in a pub. The service was both friendly and efficient. The food was delightful. This is also a great venue to enjoy a quiet drink with friends or family. Great atmosphere.
