WOW!! Visited here yesterday for lunch with some family and what a treat it was. I had the Mussels in white wine garlic and parmesan. The quality of the mussels was just outstanding and the sauce unforgettable. Top quality, and my other half had the pork which said was equally delicious. It is a long time since a meal has... More

Have written so much about the lovely 'Snug' but have to say without the amazing chef Allesandro it really would just be a quaint' whole in the wall' .... instead ...' may I say' it is a beautiful oldy worldy room with open fire............. by morning open as a 'shoppee' coffee and breakfast venue, luncheon consists of a blackboard full... Such a lovely place, with perfect decor and setting. The staff seemed very relaxed and friendly, and were some great options on the menu. The only slight quibble I have is that the baguette I ordered was really too big to eat - I know it might seem strange to complain about getting too much food, but I had to... More

Beautiful food every time, its hidden away in the ffwrwm and you wouldn't know it was there but its always busy day & night (unfortunately they are only open Fri & Saturday for evening meals) Sunday lunch is so popular you need to book weeks in advance. Worth every penny and its all home cooked food. Well worth a visit!!

Absolutely delighted with lunch today - a table was reserved for the first sitting of mid -day. We were slightly early, so we had a drink outside before hand. Taken to our table - and the service was superb - starters were extremely tasty followed by our main which could not be faulted. Very good value for money and would... More

Visited the snug last week and had the best time! The place has a lovely and friendly atmosphere and I felt like I was away on holiday. The food was cooked amazingly, with both myself and partner having three courses. I would highly recommend in particular the Italian sausage for starters and chocolate orange brownies for dessert! Yummy! The staff... More

Beautiful Lamb Ragu and Fussili pasta meal - one of the best meals I've ever eaten, accompanied with excellent Customer Service. Brilliant experience!

Small intimate setting, tucked away from the road, near to some lovely pubs if you fancied a drink afterwards. Booking is a must as it's only open a few nights a week and is always full. I've had various dishes from here, favourites being fillet steak and venison, the side dishes are a particular love of mine, glazed chantanay carrots... More

Spent the evening with 3 friends at the Snug. It was the first visit for most of us and was mostly an enjoyable evening. The food and wine was of good quality, not cheap but all our plates were cleared :-) However the service was inconsistent to say the least. We got off to a great start however the wait... More
