The turnover is pretty good here (compared to other places on campus), so the sandwiches are often fresh & not skimpy. There is a nice courtyard adjoining, and the whole operation is well-run and friendly - and - better yet - hardly ever crowded.

The staff are friendly in this café which is located in the basement of the Cubberley (School of Education) building. The food is good and coffee OK. It is an excellent place to sit in a pleasant environment which includes outdoor seating. It is a great little café and is more 'personal' than the main student eating area in the... More

This cafe is in the basement of Education, but has a large outdoor seating area. Everything they make here is good, especially the hot dish of the day. The staff are friendly, though occasionally overwhelmed. It's a quiet place to sit and meet friends.

It's good because it's there and can give you a cup of coffee before a test, but that is about it. Go to Coupa or Olives which are right near Cubberly. Coupa has better coffee and Olives has greek food (and coffee and breakfast).

Cubberley Cafe is more like a convenient store in the basement of the building. For an atmosphere and a place to go for coffee, choose Coupa outside Green Library or Olives in building 160.

The signs on BOTH sides of the exterior of Cubberley building, then the trail of handwritten signs on every corner that you have to turn to get to the cafe, scream of desperation for visitation. It's a lonely little place, buried in the basement of a building with a really majestic foyer, but an extremely cloistered corporate feel of a... More
