Nice restaurant in a premium spot

A premium spot in Taling Ngam which means pretty isolated beach, away from the usual crowd and offering an anstonishing ground view on the magnificent Five Islands natural marine park. a nice & professional local service. Food is good, some nice recipes though not astounding. Finally, this is a... read more

We hired are own long tail boat, which was amazing. We were the only people on Koh mud son beach watching the sunset, a treasured memory .The snorkelling was great however there's a lot of coral , really worth doing a five island tour

This excellent eatery has been renamed the Virgin Coast Restaurant and that's the signpost to look for as you turn off the main road at the Elephant Gate. It's on the beach about a mile north of where Five Islands used to be and has the same stunning view over the sea to the islands. Tables under their canopy or... More

Unfortunately 'The Five Island' restaurant has been closed for over 10 months. Recent reviews must be getting mixed up with 'The Island View' restaurant next door, which has now taken over the whole area. The chef & staff have moved to 'The Virgin Coast' restaurant which is approximately 5-10 mins drive heading north.

We stayed at Intercon and loved it but this is a short walk down the beach. They will also pick you up from hotel/drop off for free Good food and good massages available by the beach too. Reasonably priced and really exceptionally nice people who played with our baby, got out toys etc... As mentioned the food was very good... More

We were welcomed by friendly staff who seated us on a table on the beach overlooking the Islands as the sunset and we were immediately sold. The food was nice and tasty, less the Pad Thai that seemed to have a western ketchup flavour but the other classic Thai dishes were great.

You could dine on the beach or inside the restaurant, staff were very friendly and there was a good choice on the menu, being a vegetarian I'm a little fussy, but they accommodated my requests and the food was yummy and at a great price!

Was hoping there was an option for not having to rate the restaurant but to let folks know that Five Islands is under renovation and is not open for business. The lady who answered the phone listed in the Tripadvisor site said that they moved to a new location and is better so I was really looking forward to it.... More

We stopped off here whilst driving round the island. It's well off the main tourist area but well worth the visit. It was mid day and we only wanted a snack, so we had the mixed platter and a non-alcoholic cocktail. It was well worth the money and the staff were friendly and sociable.
