A gem

Had an absolutely wonderful experience in this lovely gem at the weekend. The atmosphere is informal and friendly as it should be but there is no compromise on attention to detail and professionalism. Incredible meal...the menu, the food, the obvious care and attention to detail, the passion in the presentation, the flavour combinations, the innovation. Chef Billy Witty is modest in conversation, but my goodness he is achieving extraordinary things with food. Complemented by a very professional front of house team, lead by the effervescent Joanne ....all I can say is thank you... More

I was met at Aldridge by a very enthusiastic welcome, we were seated and offered drinks a peruse of the menu and an entree. Had a delicious seafood starter of crab claws, of which the presentation was stunning, also had delicious bread selection. I had steak for mains, cooked exactly as I like, with delicious creamy mash and fresh vegetables.... More

After hearing so many great reports about alridge lodge I decided to go and experience it for myself... to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I ordered the pork belly to start and the amount of fat on it was easily an inch thick with very little meat. For main course I ordered the steak medium to rare which... More

In Co. Wexford , off the beaten track , a fabulous restaurant , comfortable and welcoming , with delightful proprietors , Billy & Joanne. Delicious , well prepared and presented food , their home baked bread was so good that I persuaded Joanne to sell me a loaf.! But be careful of eating too much bread as you will battle... More

There were six of us celebrating and everyone was spoiled by the wonderful staff. As it was a Sunday night they only do a taster menu but don't let that put you off as it was six courses and... More

Yet again I was not disappointment when I went on Saturday evening with two girlfriends for our Christmas night out to Aldridge Lodge. The food was sublime. I had the Crab Cocktail starter and medalions of beef, whilst the others had the seafood starter, and turbot. Presentation was exquisite, nearly didn't want to eat it as it looked so good.... More

I had the taster plate which cost 30 euro what value every courst was better than the previous one. All in all a splendid restaurant which was full on a wedensday night which says it all.... More

Gem of a local restaurant run by a young couple. Fresh local inspired set menu tailored to the season both in terms of the choice and the number of options. Wish we had found it sooner as we ate elsewhere which was disappointing.
