We have eaten several times at the duck inn having moved into stanhoe. The food has always been lovely but tonight's meal was exceptional .we both had fish which was cooked to perfection, our starters crab and onion soup were gorgeous. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and it is lovely to be recognised and warmly greeted. Well done... More

We ate at the Duck Inn on our recent visit to the Norfolk area, based on the reviews from trip advisor... and we were not led astray! We were seated in the bar with our large dog, to which they were very welcoming. The service was faultless. We ordered scallops, bisque for starts and cod and the signature duck dish... More

Just called in for a tea time drink on Sat 29 March, although quiet the lad behind the bar was very pleasant and welcoming. The landlady was fantastic, out of nowhere she produced a couple of Australian comedians to entertain us. We were treated to five minutes of hilarious stand up in the bar which centered around a sketch in... More

We called in at the Duck Inn as we were passing through Stanhoe during a recent visit to the area. We had not read any reviews or seen a menu before entering. The restaurant seemed very popular from the moment we entered. We were quickly and promptly spoken to by a waiter who seated us in a secluded part of... More

The Duck is quite simply put - amazing! We've eaten there three times now and cannot find fault with anything. We went on Saturday night for my birthday - busy, with a great atmosphere, and a real mix of ages. Staff are friendly and attentive, wine list is good. My mouth was watering in anticipation of my meal all day... More

The food was out of this world fantastic choice, every mouthful was sensational. Would recommend anyone to go there. Staff where very pleasant, helpful but not in your face. This was such a change from the disaster we had at The Ship at Brancaster the week before. Five Star service and mouth watering food, thanks to all at the The... More

Went again to the Duck Inn for dinner, having been in 2013. This time we had a slight problem at first with our table which was by the door to the upstairs from and was quite cold. We asked to move and this was arranged quite quickly and without too much fuss. Our meal was as good as we had... More

Booked in for evening meal and overnight stay. Staff were excellent, attentive and very friendly. Biscuits brought to room with fresh milk for tea and coffee were a real treat! Room is to a very high standard and whilst a little noisy until service had finished in the restaurant downstairs, was extremely quiet during the night. Evening meal was excellent,... More

We stayed at the Duck Inn for just one night, eating in the restaurant, but it was the loveliest experience. The staff were fantastically friendly and welcoming, and genuinely so. The food was really excellent and the room was super - in fact we don't know why more isn't made of the accommodation in their listing. We had contemplated the... More

The staff are very obliging and the menu is sufficiently comprehensive, the food well prepared and good value. We eat there fairly frequently and have no regrets but it can lack a little in atmosphere
