Stopped by for lunch. Had their eggs and Suffolk ham. Wow! It was fantastic. Well worth the drive from Ipswich.

Arrived at a busy time with a lot of people eating outside although inside was quiet. Wasn't asked if we had booked which we had so were put at the closest table to where we were standing which was next where the food came out so was a bit noisy, would have preferred to sit elsewhere but had assumed when... Wow! I loved everything about this place: the setting, the ambience, the staff, the great value for money and last but by no means least, the food! The Dog has a great menu with constantly changing dishes of the day and no matter what you choose, you are sure not to be disappointed. Couple this with cosy traditional settings, a... More

An excellent meal in a good country pub restaurant. There is a wide menu and several specials on the blackboard plus a very good range of real ales and wines. Menu choices are interesting and reflect local availability. I had the pigeon breast and black pudding starter - very tasty. Main courses had lots of meat and were well cooked.... More

... and went to a well known garden centre first but the menu was uninspiring. I had heard good things about The Dog so decided to try there. Very friendly staff, prompt service and delicious food. I had the Duck Liver Pate with Date Chutney and it was beautifully presented and scrummy. I will definitely go back.

Don't be fooled by the sleepy village, Grundisburgh is only 10mins from Woodbridge and serves delicious meals, has a great atmosphere and a new and rather well designed family beer garden with slides for the little ones. We had a table of 10 for a reunion meal out and they looked after us brilliantly. The burger (two stacked served with... More

Have just return from a wonderful evening at The Dog. Haven't eaten here for a couple of years when, frankly, it was indifferent. Tonight, so different! From wonderful food to fabulous service. & we loved the jazz to be faintly heard in the background. Lovely not to have conversation drowned out by another person's choice of "music"! The staff hit... We went for lunch with friends to this quintessential English pub & we were not disappointed. We all 4 had a different dish & all plates were emptied, so that speaks for itself. It was fairly quiet but had a good atmosphere. There is a standard menu & some unusual specials on the board. The portion sizes were good -... More

I have visited the Dog a number of time now and the more I go the more I love it. I can't wait to show it off to friends and Family! Food is exceptional and chef very accommodating to individual needs. Landlady was very friendly but remained professional. Staff were helpful and gave 100%. Easily a 5* restaurant....and cheap too!... More

My wife booked a meal here for my 60th birthday. There were 7 of us including two youngsters. We were made most welcome. Food was excellent (bit of a wait, but i realise it was cooked to order, not nuked.) waiter/bar guy took time out to take a photo of us all. Will definately return and recommend this as one... More
