Description of meal sounded lovely but in reality it was very disappointing. The venison was very tough and inedible and the goats cheese in puff pastry was dry and had very little taste or filling. Some of the staff were very young and although willing, they lacked the experience needed. Needless to say we won't be back.

This place has wonderful food, with a different menu everyday. The prices are on the higher side, but I'd still return because the food is quite good. One downside is the service is a bit slow, but friendly nevertheless. When it is busy, it can get a little loud, but overall the atmosphere is pretty good. If you have children,... More

Visited with my friend one evening, and just felt like trying one of the desserts on the menu. I thought they were very pricey, but also thought they must be very spectacular for the price, so I ordered the sticky toffee sundae. After half an hour a waitress came out with a large glass which was just over half full.... More

Good food and lots of choice. Helpful friendly staff. Front bar rather noisy, probably best to eat in the restaurant.

We visited on Saturday evening and booked a table for 4 in the restaurant. It's a lovely location and lovely food but very disappointed with the service. The waitresses brought our main dishes out before clearing our starter plates away. This also happened to a number of tables in the restaurant. Also they never asked if we wanted more drinks... More

Brother visiting from overseas with his son and the 6 of us were seated comfortably and enjoyed a meal here. We have been several times over the last few years so thought it was a solid dependable spot to have a mid week meal. The place was absolutely heaving, parking a complete nightmare. Guess some of the local residents have... More

Visited for a mid week meal with family who came over from abroad. The food was good, massive portions of battered brie were a plus! The steak and ale pie was excellent. Only downsides were the surroundings to the pub, which is currently undergoing the building of some new accommodation and the service that was below standard as some of... More

I live just five minutes away from Worlington, so I have stopped into Walnut Tree a handful of times. All of my meals here are wonderful, but I would say my favorites are the meat pies and desserts. I recently had the most amazing apple and rhubarb pie with ice cream, which I will be dreaming about for weeks! The... More

We ate on a Sunday evening and unfortunately all the roast dinners had gone but there was still plenty of choice on the menu. Food was served hot and was very tasty. We had desserts which were good sized portions. We felt overall quality of food was very good but slightly pricey but this would not deter us from visiting... More
