This is a nice place to eat. They had the fire stoking and the smoke was strong and coming into our room, but otherwise no complaints of the setting. Ordered a baked salmon which was absolutely fantastic. Biggest drawback is the cost.

Having given the Walnut Tree glorious reviews over the last couple of years - our latest visit for my daughter's birthday has changed this. Arriving at 6.30 pm on 4 September, they were hardly rushed off their feet. Staff are friendly, and the interior improves at each visit. However the food was devastatingly disappointing on an occasion that we had... More

We went on what happened to be burger night so ordered burgers. The pub is very nicely decorated and we were made very welcome. Great atmosphere but the burgers were not the best but then not the worst I had had. I was most disappointed by desert as I love pecan pie and to see it on the menu was... More

The outdoor terrace was lovely, excellent service and the food was top quality. We have a member of our group with a gluten intolerance and they were very accommodating about what we could order. We were served in good time and food and drinks for a group of 5 adults came to around 75 pounds. While we were there there... More

My wife, I and our two young boys ate here on Mondays BURGER NIGHT. We all had a tasty meal from the simple but very creative menu, (not just simple beef burgers). Definitely coming again soon

Description of meal sounded lovely but in reality it was very disappointing. The venison was very tough and inedible and the goats cheese in puff pastry was dry and had very little taste or filling. Some of the staff were very young and although willing, they lacked the experience needed. Needless to say we won't be back.

This place has wonderful food, with a different menu everyday. The prices are on the higher side, but I'd still return because the food is quite good. One downside is the service is a bit slow, but friendly nevertheless. When it is busy, it can get a little loud, but overall the atmosphere is pretty good. If you have children,... More

Visited with my friend one evening, and just felt like trying one of the desserts on the menu. I thought they were very pricey, but also thought they must be very spectacular for the price, so I ordered the sticky toffee sundae. After half an hour a waitress came out with a large glass which was just over half full.... More
