My husband and I came to Moorea on our honeymoon. We stayed at the Intercontinental and on that side of the island there are not as many restaurants. Our last night in Moorea we came to Le Plantation (despite what we were told by one of the locals) There is free pick up from the hotel which was a plus,... More

This was a quaint little restaurant close to our Hotel (Intercontinental Moorea). Lucky for us, we were the only ones there that evening so we had the whole place to ourselves and it felt like we were dinning on the patio of the chef's home, eating a delicious home-cooked Polynesian/French meal. the portions were generous and the flavours were on... When we arrived there was a large party of about 14 and another couple tables with 2-3 people each. As there is only one waitress the wait was long the entire night. Our dinner lasted about 1.5 hours and that included only an entree and no drinks, dessert, or appetizer. I had the local fish and my wife had the... More

Had a nice dinner here. Attentive and friendly service. Food good but not amazing. Limited choice but seemed good if you want vegetarian. Ride back to the hotel with the chef afterwards was nice. Be sure to organise with your hotel. In our opinion food is better at Rudy's or the Mayflower.

My husband and I passed the plantation while pearl shopping and came back for dinner. I wish we had known they picked up and deliver to the hotels. Our dinner was fresh and delicious!! To top it off, dessert and drinks were to die for. The owner is the sweetest woman and wanted us to have a great dining experience.... More

Good food, very nice staff, good value for your money, don't understand the critics. We were only 4 in the restaurants but everything was fine, nice, pleasant, good and we spent a very good time there. They have some dishes and specialties you won't find anywhere else in Polynesia!

Hands down this was the best restaurant we found on Moorea. A whole section of vegetarian food made it easy, which wasn't many other places we went to on the island. I had the marinated tofu with mangos, tofu and rice both times we went. I tried the Risotto with mushrooms, zucchini and Parmesan, a little heavy, but quite good... More

One of the rare restaurants in French polynesia that boasts of a vegetarian menu (works for me!!). We had lunch there..beautiful open sitting area, great owner/chef, delicious tofu and mango with rice! Prices comparable with other restaurants in Moorea. Caramalized biscuit with ginger ice-cream was great too. Their pick-up service for dinner is at 6:45 pm only, which adds a... More

Very friendly staff, very tasty food and well prepared. Attention to all details, enjoyable evening with relaxing jazz music and a very good meal. Quite expensive, but like everything on these paradisiac islands, but food & service were very high and appreciated. Thank you!

La Plantation reminds me of Ricks in Casablanca. 40ish style decor. Even has a piano. Garden for cocktails. Food mainly french and not Tahitian. The Food was good but not great. Not very crowded when we went. Dinner for 2, I had fish, my wife risotto, salad and a few vodkas and expresso for $90 or so. I love Natalie... More
