Over the years, In different cities, but mostly London, I've eaten awful, indifferent and fantastic Indian meals. Unfortunatley, the Taj falls under the indifferent catgory. I tried an assortment of meat dishes, as you do and all of them, including the so-called hot and spicy dishes were bland enough for a child to enjoy. I'd like to be kind and... More

The food is absolutely delicious and arrives promptly. The waiters on the other hand are insolent and rude. This is such a shame as the food was so nice. Certainly won't be going back there again.

It had been a long time since we had been to the Taj Brasserie but I had heard good reports and thought we would give it another try. There were 8 of us, all adults and it was booked in advance. When we arrived the Taj was very busy and I was glad that we had pre-booked. The table we... More

A group of us went for dinner here and were immediately impressed by the decor and style of the place. Parking was a nightmare as the place was so busy so that is usually a good sign. The food we had was very good, Prompt and hot. It's good for groups I would suggest but if you wanted a quiet... More

The restaurant has delicacy for its super excellent environment with well behaved waiters and staffs. Foods are average, not extra ordinary. Couple of weeks ago I went there with my family members and friends for a party but I wondered not much taste in the dishes like before which made me disappointed as I mentioned it the best restaurant in... What a shame. We had friends down from the North and instead of going to our regular restaurant around the corner (Frampton Balti) as there were so many of us and the Taj was so much bigger, we went to the Raj. I noticed one of our company ate very little of his main course and thought that he clearly... More

We went as a party and the 12 of us were welcomed and served efficiently. The food was nicely presented and tasty. We would go again. Parking is easy,

I dread to think how much money we spend each year visiting The Taj! Chutney tray is the best we've experienced with green olives which are a nice touch. The food is exceptional and the restaurant interior is very beautiful and homely. Definitely the best Indian in Bristol

We went as a family but the lighting was so bright, it really put us off. The food was bland and toned down for the British easy market with little differences in a few of the dishes. Wont be returning as quite disappointed.

Having been quite a frequent visitor to this establishment over the last few years (probably at least 15/20 times) I feel that it is now time to find a new favourite place to dine from the general disinterest of the staff that the other reviewers mentioned, to the sigh that greeted us when we wanted more drinks after we had...
