The food was good, quick to take our order but the staff overall looked very "grumpy" and was rude to take our bill. We may return but we may consider other places before this one.

We have a company treat day at the end of every month and just to try something different we decided to try and find somewhere to get a curry. After some research, I found the Taj Brasserie were open for takeaways too at lunchtime. My usual favourite is the Spice Mahal so I was nervous that the Taj wouldn't live... More

I always have a great meal at the Taj, the food is good quality and large portions. The restaurant is very comfortable and modern. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 starts is because the service was a little ropey when we were there last week but hopefully we were just unlucky!

As we arrived the waiter asked what name the table was booked under, so we gave him the booking details. Then he just turned and walked quickly to the back of the restaurant without a word. Then he came back visibly annoyed that we hadn't followed him, but he made no gesture or comment to make us think we needed... More

We visited here for a dinner as two couples. The ambiance is really lovely. Food was nice, I would rate it as 'good' if Trip advisor had a 'good' option! Very nice service. Would be lovely for a special occasion.

This was my first visit and I was very impressed! The food was gorgeous, between us we ordered poppadoms as a starter, chicken korma and honey chicken for main with onion bhaji, pilau rice and peshwari naan for sides. I couldn't fault the food, the honey chicken was delicious and the onion bhaji was the best I've had. I would... More

Just had the best Indian of my life... dramatic, yes, but nonetheless it was the perfect meal. I spent a while trying to pick a main course (as I usually do) and the waitor was patient enough to explain about 70% of the dishes to me. The use of herbs and spices is apparent and the team work between staff... More

Always get my Indian takeaway here - always excellent quality, quick service, well cooked with quality ingredients. Staff very friendly. Expensive but worth it. Only complaint would be they charge too much for the condiments that go with the poppadoms - about £3 for tiny amount of onion and yoghurt - other than that - delicious food. If you're thinking... Eleven of us went to celebrate a family birthday. It was a saturday evening around 7pm,the restaurant was 3/4 full. We were late being seated and had to ask for some drinks. We had to wait ages for our orders to be taken by a very abrupt waiter! We did have some pompados and dips to keep us going. Then... More
