We regularly dine at the Taj, mainly for the welcome received, and the wide selection of dishes to suite all taste. Also Includes a choice of mild options to satisfy the less dedicated diner. Slight variations to the selection are always accomodated in a friendly manner, and with plenty of space, it is easy to relax. If you prefer Taste... More

Good range of choices, well cooked. Nice to have a range of fish curries available (salmon and crab dishes available), as well as the usual lamb/chicken/prawn dishes that normally appear. Service was good. Nice large restaurant - you're not crammed in like sardines. Good atmosphere. Go, you won't be disappointed.

We went one Friday night after friends recommended. Wow was brilliant - food, service, space, everything. My wife had such juicy huge prawns we thought we were in the far east. I was impressed with my curry which I asked for slightly different (hotter) than menu suggested and they happily obliged. Such friendly but no intrusive staff. All in all... More

Swimming in ghee, which leaks into the carrier bag. It's a complete mess when you get home. On one occasion the restaurant managed to crush a foil dish which spilled its contents into the bag. Check takeaway orders very carefully when you collect them - we've often come away minus a few things we paid for - last night we... More

I had fallen for the oft-used quote "Yes it's expensive - but it's worth it" line usually attached to questions about the Taj Brasserie in Winterbourne. And to be fair when I've eaten there before it has been expensive and it has been worth it. Apart from the ridiculous levels of attention from way to many waiters for one table... More

We have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions and have never had a bad experience. Would highly recommend this restaurant, food and staff, excellent in all cases.

We have been to the Taj Brasserie a number of times and been impressed by the food. However this was our first visit at a weekend, on arrival we had to park in a side street nearby as the car park was full. Once inside we were shown directly to our table and ordered drinks and popodums both of which... More

Amazing venue, wonderful & attentive service, and delicious food (I always pick either the honey chicken or butter chicken - both mild dishes). I always recommend this restaurant to my friends, and this is my husband and I's date night venue-of-choice on a rare child-free evening! It does get busy in the evenings, so I do recommend reserving a table.

Visited here in April with 5 friends. The place is beautifully decorated and doesn't feel like your "regular" indian restaurant - it feels a little more special than the norm. Staff were friendly, food was delicious and the thing I liked best was that there were things on the menu I'd never seen anywhere else - like a Crab Bhuna... More

This was my first visit to the brasserie and disappointingly will be my last. It was a promising start with the poppadoms coming out quickly and delicious pickles.. but as soon as the first empty drinks glass was on the table the waiters started a pretty much constant stream of do you want more drinks? After nearly two hours the... More
