Great food

Try this place out but you really should book. It is like an old pub but the key thing is the novelty of the menu. Not the usual curry house stuff for smashed sportsmen. No. A varied and novel selection of dishes. My favourite is the ginger chicken wrapped in foil. Lovely.

Best curry house in my families opinion. Lovely takeaways with very friendly staff always offering the kids a chocolate. For a sit down meal it has a nice ambiance and good service. It's quite a bit more expensive than other curry houses around this area but it is worth the extra money as the food is delicious.

Beautiful venue with plenty of parking. Staff are very attentive and patient which is good as it does take a while to choose from the vast menu. Chefs deserve praise as each dish was delicious, plenty of beers and wines to accompany food. Venue suitable for any occasion, any age and accessible to all. Definitely a new favourite of ours.

Another excellent evening at the Taj. Staff efficient and very friendly. Made a big fuss of our youngest guest with free extra helpings of popadom, lemonade and chocolate. Food was all top quality and enormous portions. Decor is beautiful and spotless. Go. Treat yourself. You will not be disappointed.

Outstanding, no other words to describe this restaurant apart from outstading! Food was amazing! The price was all worth it! I had the best night I've ever had at a restaurant. A few friends recommended this restaurant to me and I thought it was going to be a normal Indian restaurant which was overpriced. My view totally changed. Taj Brasserie... More

We visited on a Friday evening and this popular restaurant was as usual, very busy. We didn't book but only had a few minutes to wait before being shown to our table. The menu is extensive but the great thing is that unlike many Indian restaurants where the sauces all taste very similar regardless of what dish you order, here... More

The food was good, quick to take our order but the staff overall looked very "grumpy" and was rude to take our bill. We may return but we may consider other places before this one.

We have a company treat day at the end of every month and just to try something different we decided to try and find somewhere to get a curry. After some research, I found the Taj Brasserie were open for takeaways too at lunchtime. My usual favourite is the Spice Mahal so I was nervous that the Taj wouldn't live... More

I always have a great meal at the Taj, the food is good quality and large portions. The restaurant is very comfortable and modern. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 starts is because the service was a little ropey when we were there last week but hopefully we were just unlucky!

As we arrived the waiter asked what name the table was booked under, so we gave him the booking details. Then he just turned and walked quickly to the back of the restaurant without a word. Then he came back visibly annoyed that we hadn't followed him, but he made no gesture or comment to make us think we needed... More
