The food is alright but menu selection is limited. Small portions and prices high for what you get. went with friends from Calgary for lunch and wine. Awesome view was the best thing offered

This is a MUST visit restaurant! I cannot find the words to explain how incredible the food is. The chef clearly has a passion for flavor. The views of okanagan lake and the vineyards are stunning and the staff are knowledgable and attentive. A five out of five and I can't wait to go back.

Quail's Gate Old Vines restaurant is a special place; superb location, great food, great wine. all you need is someone special to share it with. The location and views are spectacular. Ask for a table by the windows or outside on the patio overlooking Lake Okanagan. The menu contains a good range of food to suit most palates. The wine... More

Upon arrival we were greeted by a panoramic view of beautiful Okanagan Lake and the Kootnay mountains. Seated on the outside patio, the vineyard graced us in it's full and green lushness. Appetizers consisted of warm olives, a cold zucchini soup with a perfect blend of rosemary, cream and a thread of olive oil. Our palates were tantalized by a... More

I don't know why, but I hate being asked to remove my hat. This visit was rendered completely disappointing because that's the first thing they did. And yet when I looked around I saw other people wearing hats. I hardly look like a gangster rapper, so I don't know why I was being singled out in this way. Besides meal... More

We'd been trying to eat here for about 4 years, and had never been able to schedule it before this June. We had the crab cakes as an appy and they are lovely and mostly crab, and then I had the smoked beef belly tagliatelle and my husband has the Cache Creek Butcher's Cut. Normally we try each other's dishes,... More

Pro's - It's all about the location overlooking Okanagan Lake, breathtakingly beautiful and the winery and restaurant are gorgeous. Cons - The food was a disappointment for half our table of four, which was unfortunate as we were all looking forward to our evening. The starter of Spot Prawns was a 'what?' moment, three tiny prawns floating in a cucumber... More

Best dinner we had in our whole trip in West Canada. It is really fine food in a georgeous surrounding. We loved the Haddock perfectly cooked and the duck.

We had dinner at this lovely spot overlooking the lake. Service was good but the meal I had was mediocre. I had the Veal which was overcooked, chewy and had no flavour at all. The plating had too much kale and not much of anything else. For the price - over $40.00 this was unacceptable. Our server apologized and my... More
