Sometimes I think I shouldn't write yet another great review for Perrywood Coffee Shop and, then, I think "why not" - especially after reading an odd review by 'Tim B' recently! I'm not surprised Perrywoods was a "bit confused" because we are regular visitors to the Coffee Shop and we have never seen a chef with an enormous beard either.... More

As always the coffee shop in Perrywoods was very busy. Lots of lovely homemade lunches and cakes. Nice cheerful service. Always happy to while away a few hours here.

The chef with the enormous beard was seen by several of our party, picking his nose and handling food!! Place seems ok apart from him. I would suggest Perrywoods replace him asap!!

We are a bit confused as we do not have a chef with an enormous beard? When did you visit? We of course take cleanliness very seriously and score very highly on our hygiene inspections - I have spoken to our catering manager and we will remind all the team of hygiene best practice. I'd be very happy to discuss... More

We were surprised both by the size of the "coffee shop" and the sheer range of food and cakes on offer. They even offer breakfast. We just had tea and cakes in the afternoon but the portion sizes were very generous and the cakes themsleves very tasty ! Great place and a pleasant surprise in a garden centre, better than... More

We stopped off for a quick coffee an ended up with cakes too they are still lovely and as always look amazing the staff are also great! Prices are still a little to high to become a regular stop but can't grumble at the quality of the cakes..

My sister and I spent 4 1/2 hours happy hours at Perrywoods yesterday! We started with coffee which was fine, but once again my sister who has to be on a gluten free diet was tantalised by the assortment of lovely home-made scones on the counter, but sadly no gluten free ones. You had a caramel victoria sponge, but as... More

Thanks very much for your feedback. Offering a greater range for those with dietary requirements is something we are continually working on. For example we had a dairy free cake for the first time this weekend and most of our sauces in our hot specials are now thickened with rice flour. We have tried GF scones in the past but... More

Have been coming here for years but now it has become so large and busy that it is too noisy for me to enjoy a coffee and a chat. The floor makes moving your chair a very noisy action and the queues for lunch are very long. Such a shame as the staff are very nice and helpful, its got... More

Had lunch last Friday. We had freshly fried beer battered cod and the home made Leek and Potatoe pie with Filo pastry. Both were excellent. Service was very good considering how busy it was.

As a local, its a regular destination by choice, quality food from excellent local sources, they do not skimp on quality which means the prices are not cheap, but worth every penny. The pastry on their quiche is to die for!
