This restaurant is now called Piccola Italia. Would certainly recommend a visit. Food was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful.

Reopened recently and fantastic service and food. It was nice to see a wood pizza oven and the pizza proved this. Good atmosphere, I would recommend this place to everyone.

I think this has recently reopened as Piccola Italia (August 2014) - excellent timing for us on the last night of our holiday in Moniaive. Plenty of options, but we all chose pizza - I was impressed that our octagenarian could have a child's portion. I can particularly recommend the vegetarian option (ahem, with added pepperoni) but they all looked... More

Very good food but a long wait as very busy and seems popular at most times but while waiting the staff brought snacks and apologised for the wait

Very friendly service and excellent food. It was my first visit here and sadly my last as they are closing due to domographics which make it unprofitable. HOWEVER - They are still in Dumfries and must be visited!!

In the heart of Moniaive, delicious stone baked pizzas with a crispy dough. Fabulous. And with the Green Tea Room next door, this is Scotland's food village.

Booked a table for 12 last night at 6.30. At 8.10 manager arrived at our table saying he needed to know if we were having dessert as we were already 10 minutes over our one and a half hours we had been told, at time of booking, we could have the table for. We tried to explain that we were... More

As a family of 11 we booked here Saturday just gone. The warm welcome was lovely and our table was more than big enough for us all, there is nothing worse than being squashed in when you are a large group. From the beginning the service was first class, the restaurant was packed but the girls waiting tables were quick... More

Ate here with friends a couple of weeks ago after hearing good things about Little Italy. Restaurant is a nicely decorated, cosy room with views from the large rear windows. Staff were very friendly and very attentive. When our starters arrived we were very impressed with the presentation and they tasted fantastic. We then expected the mains to be of... More

Had a great meal here. The service was a little slow as the place was very busy but the atmosphere was buzzing so didn't mind at all. All the staff were very friendly and the food was of a very high standard despite being so busy. Luckily we don't live far from this little gem!
