ignorant horrible rude landlord !!! Only interested in money people !! Keep well away if you want a nice welcoming meal !. The only thing there good at is making you feel awkward and below them !

We called here whilst cycling the Way of the Roses route from coast to coast. Whilst the pub is in a great place and right on the route I would not recommend it to other cyclists. On our return trip through the village, a couple of days later, we did not repeat the mistake. If being courteous to customers is... More

This pub restaurant is in a high Wolds village but is always busy because of the excellent food and welcoming atmosphere. Their Steak Pie is renowned in the area, and every time we go we have a great time, The menu is very reasonably priced and has a good choice.

I booked a Sunday lunch for four of us today then read the reviews ....oops ! We still went and we are very glad we did .... We were greeted by a lovely lady behind the bar. We had a pleasant young lady take our order quickly. The food came equally as quickly, well presented, hot and tasted lovely. ..... More

We've eaten at the Wolds Inn on many occasions. The food is always excellent, well prepared and plentiful. Nothing adventurous on the menu in the way of fancy dishes, but just good old-fashioned British style country food, beautifully cooked, and well presented. We can heartily recommend the Rack of Lamb, or the Barnsley Chops, but in all honesty we've tried... More

We had popped in at lunchtime and formed an opinion that we were not going to get much of a welcome but because it was the closest pub to our B&B we went back for supper anyway. We arrived famished, having been cycling all day, just before the kitchens closed. We were right - there was no welcome at all,... More

Stopped as a group of 7, a cycling tour on the Way of the Roses. Loverly setting with a welcoming frontage, beer garden to the rear and benches on the front green. Found the pricing a little expensive, £8 for a baked potato but it was well prepared and tasty, looked good on the plate, so it shows care and... More

Stopped for lunch on a recent cycling trip and we all felt like we weren't very welcome. The Landlord was the most miserable, unsociable, unwelcoming Publican I have ever met. I ordered food,he then disappeared for a few minutes, returned with my order slip, stuffed it in my hand and took the money without any thanks or acknowledgement Next person who wanted something... We visited the Wolds Inn early in March 2 couples and had a very poor night ( please see previous review ) Our problem was that we had bought two lots of travel zoo vouchers so with a open mind we returned on Friday 28th March for a six pm booking.Myself and my wife arrived on time we entered the... We stopped at the Wolds Inn as I had been there many years ago and I remembered the steak pie being superb and it still was!!! The mixed grill was fantastic the only downside was that it could have done with a bigger plate to accommodate it! All the meat was cooked to perfection and the accompaniments were spot on!... More
