The Petersham Nurseries Caf in west London is a pilgramage-worthy dining destination for every serious lover of great food. The dining room is set in a heated, plant-filled Victorian greenhouse with an earth floor, colourful artworks and mismatched vintage furniture. Loved by A-listers and hipsters alike, this is an idyllic place for lazy weekend lunches, discreet mid-week meals and super chic events. The short menu changes weekly - five starters, five main course dishes, simple desserts and one cheese - and the wine list includes some brilliant French and Italian labels. A true original, the Petersham Nurseries Caf is a must for all culinary thrill-seekers.

when flower and plants get togheter with Italian cuisine

Nice looking restaurant where tables are placed between plants and garden tools. Excellent Italian wine selection and properly presented dishes are the essential components of high rank Italian dining. A drug store is also available for a less traditional meal.

Every single person who pays me a visit in London, I take them to this gorgeous and peaceful place. I'd describe it as restaurant in a Flower shop. Cannot express how satisfied I am about having this place in London. Food is incredibly cheap for London prices and despite the crowd (specially in sunny days and weekends) the service adjusts... My first visit to the nursery so I booked a talk to add to the day. Value for money was fantastic, a coffee/cake on arrival and water throughout. As it was 30degress that was much appreciated as was the melon half way through. It was a good 2 hours of information from 3 experts including a tour of the kitchen... More

Visited the nursery for my mothers birthday with the family. The setting is wonderful, we arrived slightly early and so spent the time wandering the nursery admiring all the beautiful plants including some wonderfully scented roses. When we went through to the restaurant there were beautiful displays of flowers decorating the greenhouse style building. When the sun shone it really... More

Had wanted to come here for years and just not got round to booking. Had a wonderful lunch - the food is fresh, vibrant and worth every penny. We also had a delicious rose petal prosecco to kick us off. A few service issues that could, and should, have been easily avoided - we weren't pre warned that due to... More

Personally I find shabby chic a ridiculous style. It is a way for the owners to spend as little money as possible and for some reason people think it great. No thought has been given for the comfort of guests and there is no quality here whatsoever . Crude beyond belief. The signage is poor, the furniture awfull throw outs... More

I've been here a few times to the cafe and to a dinner during their special 'Supper club' evenings. What a beautiful place tucked away a stone throw away from Richmond. We had dinner at the supper club, food was gorgeous, perfect in fact. Service was impeccable, friendly, intimate and thoughtful. This place is great for intimate dinners and even... More

Visually it is all a bit much, wherever you cast your eye there is a kaleidoscope of flowers, planters and over-precisely presented old salvaged garden furniture. Too much like country living magazine for me. I knew the restaurant lost it's Michelin star a couple of years ago but my wife loves Country Living and mooching about garden centres. Service was... I could not believe that I had not been before. I had heard that it was special but I now hate all my friends as they did not insist I go sooner. It is a slice of heaven. Charming setting and delicious food. Go for lunch, and dinner. Even all on the same day. I didn't want to leave!
