Dim the lights down low

Steaks are what you would expect from an Argentinean restaurant. Classy clientele. Smooth atmosphere . Slick sexy staff....but awful lighting,,,couldn't ever read the menu/Malbac wine list.. Maybe that's why the bill was sooooo steep. Mmmmm

A birthday treat for me as we had lunch at a table by the window overlooking the Thames. Ecuadorean ceviche and barbecued prawns whet our appetites. The steaks are quite simply gorgeous and the spiral cut churrasco de chorizo was amazing. 500g of amazingness in fact. A gorgeous Malbec to accompany the meal was beautifully smooth. Deserts were a bit... More

We moved from Richmond back to Texas three years ago so it has been some time since we have eaten at this Gaucho. The steaks are the same, really good and our waitress, Roberta, did a awesome job taking care of us. The side dish wrapped in corn husk are a must try! The cheesecake and port wine ended the... I went to Gaucho in Richmond after my wife got me a gift card. I knew the prices before I went but for these prices I was expecting at least a "half decent" steak. What I got was the picanha cut. It was sliced thinly 4 times but it was still stringy. The other diners said exactly the same of... More

We fell in love with Gauchos when we were invited to a corporate hospitality event at the O2 in February last year – the service, food and drinks were absolutely superb but as they were ‘free’ we felt the need to try the place out for ourselves when we were paying, to see if we still loved it and normal... Steaks and menu to die for with an excellent wine list , good service and a great atmosphere . The steak list is so very comprehensive with a good explanation of the different cuts and how to have them prepared

Lovely location. Very bustling. Great steak and sides. Dodgy starters. We went for steak so were happy. Pricey for what it is

I've heard many people rave about Gauchos as a brand so we were really looking forward to our evening out. Service when we arrived was impersonal and hurried. When we sat at our table it was obvious that it was going to be too small for 4 main courses plus side dishes, the staff didn't seem to know what to... More

I'd heard good things about this place so expectations were high. Riverfront location was nice, but a little walk from town. Service was pleasant and polite, if a little slow. The food was very poor; my steak was so chewy I couldn't eat it, let alone cut it with the blunt table knife they'd provided. Fancy not providing steak knives... More

One of the nicest fillet steaks I have had in a while which was served blue and was very well cooked. A good hot plate, which is a prerequisite when having such a lightly cooked steak and the smoked garlic hollandaise was really good. The sides were also good although the salad was a little salty. My colleagues shared 1000g... More
